I got my 3 year tourist visa for Russia and I'll be moving to Russia soon (for an undetermined amount of time). The 3 year visa for Americans lets them stay 6 months consecutively, with no yearly limit (effectively all year if they want). Don't know how long I'll visit for, but it could be a while.
I'm a white male in my early 20s and speak some Russian. I have an online income ("digital nomad").
I'm looking for advice and for people's reactions. Am I crazy? Very few Americans do this. IRL reactions have been positive. I am also happy to discuss Russia in general and why I'm moving there.
I'll stay in Moscow, but also travel to some cities to meet people (right now the list is St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, etc.).

I've long hair below my shoulders and even marginals ignore my. Just don't do your haircut looks like you're a fag, that's more inportant than length of hairs.

Are you very poor? What's the purpose to move to this frozen dictatorhole?

He has outdated ideas about Russia, now in large cities, no one cares how you look. You're likely to be killed, robbed and fucked in the ass, and then killed again and of course fucked again by your twice-dead corpse in the ass.
