A monarchy

Not this mortal coil

From Putin

It's mostly a meme, but when I say it I mostly mean I'm free to criticize the people in power to my hearts content in the streets or at home without getting beat up or arrested.

government tyranny, supposedly. the US has influenced global politics that if you're not a constitutional democracy you're an outlier so being free isn't that special anymore. also the US government has and will continue to violate the constitution so it's pretty much just lip service

Thats the best part desu
Here in Brazil they just passed a law that can get you arrested for posting "fake news"

>what exactly are they free from?
health care

Use your new guns to protest it then

Britain

We're free from E*ropeans and their bullshit

Attached: 1370929336195.jpg (780x877, 172K)

I like to shit on Mutts, but I can't deny that i would like their Free speech laws here.

They're free to defend themselves and say pretty much whatever they want. They can even blow a hole in cops that unjustifiably bust down their door (and actually get away with it after).

why?

>what exactly are they free from?
Healthcare, personal safety and labour rights.

Foreskin

Noice.

>I mostly mean I'm free to criticize the people in power to my hearts content
That's because your criticism carries no weight. Those Americans who have actual influence and power are either heavily censored, discredited by a multibillion dollar mass media engine or end up dead when they express their criticisms. Look at what happened to Snowden, for example. Freedom of speech is meaningless when those who have the most important and relevant information to share with the public are deemed as terrorists or traitors and have to flee in exile.

>Healthcare
The poor, disabled, old, and rich all have healthcare systems that support them. But for some reason, the healthcare system completely leaves out the middle class.

This is a good point
Kek

American are largely brainwashed, they say all sorts of shit
t. work with some

Basically every other first world country criminalized hate speech, probably even Australia and New Zealand.

So Germany has no free speech?

Really depends on the state. I live in new hampshire and we have no gun restrictions and the lowest murder rate in the whole country, its lower than Austria, 1 vs 1.1 But drive to Massachusetts and it's almost impossible to get a gun. In new hampshire you can easily run for government, it's very easy to run for state Senate or representative because they don't get paid, every politician in this state is a regular person with another job. Our governor is also works as an engineer. We also don't have sales tax or income tax. And we are the only state you don't need to wear a seatbelt or a helmet and you don't need to get car insurance. And ofc freedom of speech.

no, volksverhetzung

UK also criminalized it

okay?

So is every country besides the US a cuckold state?

This.
On other hand atleast they pretend too have it, our gov dropped any pretense for free speech, we have so many articles limiting free speech that contradict constitution it's not even funny.

Attached: 0obamalel.png (400x720, 541K)

The US is actually VERY free on a federal level. It's the state laws that fucks things up

>have free speech
>can shoot fireworks
>can own guns
>can smoke in bars
>have low taxes

you're cucked on more levels than us

What ways are you not cucked in that we are?

Sounds too shizo. Politicians and citizens definitely have the power to criticize government and the things Snowden revealed. The problem is that the average American citizen doesn't give a shit about online privacy.

Social media sites like facebook violate people's privacy all the time, but everyone still uses it.

You're more free than us, that's a fact. But let's be honest, you more than anyone know that freedom ain't free.

americas free speech laws allows them to have deep politcal and philosophical debates youtube.com/watch?v=Z6sDqXRA5HI

We can walk up to our police without 10 warning shots in the torso

Like it or not, it's better than us. People are more involved into politics and defend theur rights.

They literally don't though? When you bring up healthcare or worker rights (paid leave etc) you get hundreds of bootlicking subhumans making sure they stay cucked so that their master can afford his 4th yacht

>implying that commonly happens here

Exaggeration, doesn't change the fact that 99% of you are panically scared of them even if you're white, you're under the boot whether you want to admit it or not

I'm not scared of the police. I'm against police brutality but I've never had an issue with them

>They literally don't though
Yes they do, and they pay less taxes so the second part of your post is irrelevant. People pay for their insurance, it's a system, that's all you like it or not but you can't say it's retarded. You pay a lot of taxes, nothing is free, if you want to be autonomous in the US you can, in western Europe it's impossible

Based. There are a lot of things I don't like about our society, but we do have a lot of freedoms

Lel

>I pay, like, 300 dollars less in taxes so it doesn't matter that ambulance rides are $5000, college costs $100000 and I'll probably stay in debt until my 50's
Why are lolbertarians this retarded

>People pay for their insurance, it's a system, that's all you like it or not but you can't say it's retarded
It literally is though, they pay for insurance but then STILL have to pay out of pocket except instead of $10000 it's "only" $2000

maybe so the police won't knock on your door for mean tweets

What does the rest of the world mean when they say they want to be free like us?

What do people from Hong Kong mean when they say they want to be free like us?

vrij means free but also pretty (amount)
dom is Dutch for dumb
freedom basically means pretty dumb

Literally never heard anyone say that, it's all in your heads

We aren't free. We have to slave ourselves to work just like everybody else.

Attached: 1561266929143.jpg (1011x692, 76K)

Don't be cruel. Let him keep enjoying his dream.

The ability to productively complain about their lack of freedom.

While Frisians are the true free people.

Americans are just more gifted at directing public opinion. Free speech is in this context more of a right to call someone a retard, rather than a citizens tool against genuine oppression.

The idea is that they're free from government intervention. In reality the government has gotten more and more interventionist while Americans have started screeching about freedom louder and louder. The "patriot act" may be the most ironically named thing in American history... is what I'd like to see if one of the presidential candidates didn't base his entire campaign on "freedom dividend".

>I don't get free shit
>That means I'm not free
Thanks for reminding me of a very important element in this freedom debate: the one thing the left does more brilliantly than anyone else is changing the definition of words. No wonder your "liberals" are pro big government and pro hate speech laws.

>You shouldn't be allowed to call someone a retard, you should only use free speech to react against genuine oppression
>The government should be able to limit when free speech is used
See the problem here? The moment you start arguing about "real" free speech is when free speech dies.

Don't make me wrong a lot of things are bad in the usa©™

>Why are lolbertarians this retarded
Seriously, you're not reasonable. If you have signed for an insurance you don't have to pay for the rest of your life. You're dishonest, childish behaviour. Go back to Jow Forums for these dumb rants.

>It literally is though, they pay for insurance but then STILL have to pay out of pocket except instead of $10000 it's "only" $2000
In France the TVA(tax on goods) is really high, for on week of good you pay easily 20€ in taxes, and i don't account gas and energy. 60€ per month in good taxes alone, plus what is removed on your paycheck. I seriously doubt that such an insurance would't fully pay for your medical bill.

There are no countries with free speech on the planet though

Everyone has the right to food and shelter, regardless if they work or not. You are not free if you have to work.

Do you guys care about free speech though?

>You are not free if you have to work.
A moot point as there's no authentic freedom under capitalism.

Yeah, not anymore. Though in the past there were countries where "your rights end where my nose begins".

>Everyone has the right to food and shelter
Nah mate... nah. Positive rights are fucking retarded. Rights are something you invoke against the government, not something you demand from the government. Right to food would imply the government has a duty to feed everyone, which is so retarded I don't even know where to begin.
>B-But food and shelter are basic human needs
Yes. But they aren't rights.
>B-But you can survive without free speech, you can't survive without food!
And yet the former is a right and the latter is not

>there's no authentic freedom under capitalism
Oh boy. Entertain me.

incel freak

It doesnt matter what the ”real” free speech is, it doesnt exist anywhere. The ones in power always secure it, and if you speak against it you are dealt with. In the US this happens mostly through skilled direction of popular culture. Even radical topics are allowed to surface, theyre just directed instead of dissected out.

Positive rights aren't retarded. The very reason a government exists is to provide services to people. With the most basic one being is providing security. But that can easily be expanded upon. If the government stops providing these services then there is no more reason for the government to exist.

>be american
>cop arrests you for speading 0.9 km/h over the limit
>get shot on the way to the police station
>taking 2 bullets out costs 76000 dollars
>can't pay the hospital so you end up banckrupt living under a bridge
>have a fight with a black homeless man over a dumped burger
>in midst of the argument, call him a nigger and get arrested, prosecuted and jailed for hate speech
>at least the Queen doesn't rule here

Do americans really?

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm saying everyone deserves and should get food and shelter regardless if they work or not. Soon you'll be saying nobody has the right to oxygen and should have to work in-order to breathe fresh air.

A lot of angry little retards here that know nothing about America, and what it's like to live there and enjoy our individual liberties.

Is anyone surprised that the dutchman is a classical liberal?

Name one
Hard mode: doesn't exist outside of the us

>The ones in power always secure it
Which is why those in power must always be checked. That's why Americans love their second amendment and why the Swiss can always overrule their legislative through referendum. Liberty is wholly dependent on a vigilant citizenry.

Fair enough. I guess I should rephrase that into social rights being retarded, while accepting that some human rights could be phrased positively (like the aforementioned security).

>I'm saying everyone deserves and should get food and shelter regardless if they work or not.
Which means you're saying some people should work to provide food for others without compensation. Where I'm from we call that slavery. You can have a welfare state, sure, but to elevate that to the level of an inalienable right is just not viable. It reminds me of what Bastiat had to say about socialists. If a liberal claims he doesn't want the government to do X, then the socialists believes the liberal is against X entirely.

Anyone who wants a system that works and leads to prosperity is a classical liberal to one degree or another.

You do realize living under a constitutional monarchy doesn't affect your life in any significant way, right?

If you don't have a right to food why should you have right to security? I should have the right to come in your house, beat you and take your money. It's my freedom

Well would you please enlighten us down-syndrome goblins and tell whats it like to live over there compared to the rest of the world?

Noup, its not really checking anything if you have the right to bitch and moan. Its naive to think that.

Congrats, you figured out his system of morality.

They can't. They eat up propaganda since day one and then ape out when anybody questions it because even they know there's nothing that the us does better than other 1st world countrues

>If you don't have a right to food why should you have right to security?
The doctrine of human rights exists in respecting the rights of others. As Mill worded it, "your rights end where my nose begins". If people naturally respected that, there would be no need for a government and we could have our AnCap paradise with recreational nukes and all the other dank memes. Problem is that most people are assholes who will, just like you, beat you and take your money. A government that provides security is a necessary evil: I'd rather not have it, but we need it.

They do economy better. But now that chinas passed id think theres some soul searching coming. And its a fair point, actually, i think most people havent visited america

>Which means you're saying some people should work to provide food for others without compensation.
I never said this. The US government can afford to give it's people enough money to survive without slavery.

>The US government can afford
With what money?

There is no difference
You can't live after i shoot you
You can't live without bread
They are human rights
Once you force people to work for bread and bread alone you have slavery

No.

Free speech = way for degeneracy like SJW shit(getting popular in youth media), pro-Ukrainism(pathetic) and nationalism of different kinds(mostly, and dangerously, islamic fundamentalism)

I think it's just a meme and america is just a free as the rest of the world.

By taxing companies like amazon who do not pay taxes. I'd suggest looking into andrew yangs arguments for universal basic income.

Ok retard

>By taxing
There we go.

Elaborate.

Better hire private security sissy, once the state goes down i will have your ass

Taxation is still taking the fruits of another's labor (by invoking government force) in order to provide for the needs of others. I don't mind this happening per se (for different, more pragmatic reasons mostly), but to claim that this is a human right would imply that the government has an obligation to feed you, to provide you with comfort et cetera (rather than the government merely having a duty to secure your inalienable human rights).

ok

This guy has a point.
You can't have absolute freedom of speech otherwise faggots and nazis take over. Both are extremists which if given an opportunity will turn everything into shit.
And no, leftist scum are not making the world "better" they're making the world better for themselves specifically.
Same with white power nazi scum, except these are even more deluded and retarded than leftists.

Freedom of speech is good in theory but shit in practice.

This is American Freedom in a nutshell.
youtube.com/watch?v=ulIcekOTOqg

>Taxation is still taking the fruits of another's labor (by invoking government force) in order to provide for the needs of others.
There's nothing wrong with taking money from companies like amazon and evenly distributing it. The government should be obligated to feed the countries inhabitants in the same way it is obligated to protect the countries inhabitants.

>inalienable human rights
What an absolutely fucking meaningless statement.
