I've been on biz for a long time and a few friends and I are partially responsible for a lot of the dumb shit that is constantly repeated here about Chainlink. We used to be excited about the project and we started to shill it like crazy talking about "the tokenomics" and putting together all kinds of leads that suggested Chainlink's partnering with huge, important companies. A lot of people here have taken it and run with it, and there are plenty of people independently interested in Chainlink. I used to hold over 300k Link and I have two friends that were large holders and we've all since sold most of our Link due to our ability to see how the smart contract space is being developed. All three of us have fortunately made tons of money off of cryptocurrencies having mined BTC since 2011, getting into Ethereum early, and getting into projects like XMR, XLM, IOTA, etc and getting huge returns (I don't say this to brag, just to suggest that I've seen this market grow and develop).
I get a lot of entertainment out of biz, but I have genuinely felt bad at seeing so many distraught people thinking Chainlink is going to change their lives. So much to the point that it seems they are holding themselves back from accomplishing anything in life because they feel they've got it made.
Don't rely on cryptocurrency to make you rich if you haven't already been holding for a long time and haven't ridden the ridiculous 2017 bubble. I'll happily answer any questions anyone has, but I'm largely pessimistic about the "cryptocurrency" space as a whole (except for BTC and XMR). I have a point of view developed from having attended almost every major conference in the space, having done lots of investing, and having networked/befriended many people in high places.

i do worry how retarded the average chainlink post and poster has become, and how it seems like 87% of all the posters here are treating it like a lottery ticket. but all that's going on on Jow Forums aside, the facts on the ground make it reasonable to think chainlink could outperform the market and give us some good profits in the short and long term. Not $100 but maybe back to $1 a year from now.

I have been trying to warn newfags for a long time, since LINK was last around $0.60 but have converted very few into believers, or non-believers rather, of LINK and the fact that its not what bagholders are trying to convince you it is. Chainlink is a meme started by Jow Forums (an infamous trolling board) to lead people to financial ruin. This is NOT A JOKE. Don't let your saved wealth be thrown away over night.
Vitalik Buterin the creator of ethereum said himself the days of making x100 or x1000 are over, that right the guy who created the second most popular crypto said himself those days are over.
Now Jow Forums is trying to get people to lose even more money after the December/January bloodbath. Smart money already exited the crypto world. Crypto is basically a highly specialized database, companies don't need this. They will just create their own private blockchains. There is no need for crypto chainlink isn't even needed to run the nodes. Think XRP when you think chainlink. The company ripple (smartcontracts) is doing well but the coin XRP(chainlink) isn't even needed for the companies technology.
Considering what Vitalik said "The days of making x100 or x1000 returns are over." Chainlink needs a 399900% increase in price over the next couple of months to reach $1000 this is ludicrous. Don't fall for it, chainlink its a meme to fuck you over.
Consider this for chainlink at current price to reach $1 you need an increase of 700% or a 233% increase every month until EOY.
