I will never understand posts like these. Every time the topic of modern Iran comes up people always treat the Pahlavi as some ancient honourable dynasty directly descending from the Achaemenid Empire.
For God's sake the founder of the dynasty was born in a shithovel in 1878 to a low ranking officer and a georgian muslim refugee. The Pahlavi only ruled between 1925-79 and bear absolutely no connection to Iran/Persia's past dynasties. They were all opportunistic robber barons without a drop of nobility in their blood or character. Their downfall is nothing more than Karmic justice and should be celebrated if anything.
