DJT is a Japanese language 勉強スレ for 野獣 interested in the language, anime, manga, visual novels, light novels and Japanese video games. Japanese speakers learning English are welcome, too.
Typhoon 15th is passing through Tokyo Bay. Now is the peak. The wind is undulating. It's like a wolf bark. However, there are no wolves in Japan anymore. I can't hit the keyboard calmly. But there is something I must say. Actually I have never seen initial D But I saw Wangan Midnight. This is very important. Ah, the siren is ringing loudly.
Justin Morales
Lol at that file name mate.
Jordan Sanders
You can't do that, you'll be sacrificing your cultural education
Lucas Ward
Learning proper nouns is a chore but you only need about 300 to know the most commonly used ones.
Unless there's a friendly Japanese poster here this thread is such trash. >Someone posts in Japanese and makes a beginner mistake >pol larperfag ridicules them, one other person tells them to ignore the latter, anons bicker about anime in English and some tripfag avatarposter posts their waifu >This goes on for half an hour >Another poor soul posts in broken Japanese >Nobody gets any real advice or corrections
Joshua Turner
Is it wrong to translate 元気 as "to be fine" ?
Evan Robinson
Although in all honesty who would want to correct this drivel
'bout time to hire a tutor. You're not a poorfag, are you user?
Logan Robinson
Yes, it's wrong to translate Japanese
Thomas Green
Ozu stop with calling other 野獣
Jaxson Bell
Nope, but like everything else it depends on context.
Colton Howard
The thread not long ago about spring mists was a good read
Liam Gutierrez
Wow you fucking suck
Jackson King
Oh alright, cause my anki card keeps insisting on healthy/energetic and I'm not sure whether to press again/hard/good when I keep thinking the sentence means "she's fine"
Isaac Roberts
元気 is not fine
David Morris
Fine
Bentley Hernandez
Yes that's literally what it means. What does "fine" mean? What does "well" mean? How are they used in conversation?
Nathaniel Powell
You won't learn Japanese by posting in a thread. You can at best get some clarification from someone after a while on very specific questions you might have. This might take a while though depending on the nature of the question you post so don't expect answers straight away.
Everything in between is just banter. Somehow this makes Anglos salty as shit all the time.
I don't ask questions usually, unless it's about very specific word usage. I sometimes post in Japanese and might get corrected. Other than that I do my actual studying in between posting.
Jow Forums threads are social in nature and not infodumps. Whoever expects this is better served with a blog.
Daniel Thomas
Of course not, but this is a language learning
James Perez
大丈夫 is fine, 元気 is well
Adam Powell
From what I can tell theres like 2 or 3 brits, some rude polish tard, a french canadian, a german trip, a friendly japanese trip, couple americans, and a few randoms, seem to be the usual crowd
Apart from the japanese people everyone here is probably still learning their first 50 kanji, and basic grammar from tae kim, and maybe even still needing to practice their kana

On Jow Forums
Angel Thomas
That's a nice projection, tells me really nicely at what level you are.
James Roberts
I knew about but its actually pretty active. For a board with like 80 posts per hour
Austin Phillips
Oh I should keep that in mind I knew both words but didn't put them in contrast yet It's just a very basic sentence that shows how to use adjectives, like 元気です
元気 is never fine, remember this and don't listen to that twat.
Ethan Scott
You're so fucking dense lmao
Jack Nguyen
@111020328 Well the other day I had a conversation with the canadian about whether my kana is still mnemonic or just natural, and the german posted a pie chart where like 50 or so kanji were 'strong learned' or something, and another brit was in the same stage as me (kana down, learning kanji+vocab), so it seemed fairly accurate. Though you're obviously japanese pro of course, an outlier
>Using a comma to join two complete sentences Holy fuck you're a retard. Nobody else here claims to be fluent in a language they're clearly not.
Oliver Taylor
The power supply to over 700,000 homes seems to have stopped. Where is Codename illness?
William Johnson
I want to be in the storm!
Lucas Peterson
/jp/ djt was taken over by literal retards who spam the thread all day long. They hit like 1000 posts in 24 hours with only 40 unique IPs and none of it is related to learning Japanese, except for when they shill their favorite Japanese learning eceleb
Levi Evans
I'm also fluent, in Japanese. Cunt.
Jace Campbell
>They hit like 1000 posts in 24 hours with only 40 unique IPs That's one post per hour per person So I can only post once per hour and it's still too much?
