Live here. Pretty nice. Also people forget that the state has 33mil people and a lot of them don't live on the coast. Coastal california vs inland california might as well be two different states. And even then places on the coast like Orange County lean right because the people there like and want to keep their wealth.

norcal traffic gets worse and worse every year. I remember I'd be able to cruise down the 880 to San Jose no biggie, but now its like fucking traffic galore almost all day. Too many people moving here man...

I lived in Berkeley for years but I’m from Newport Beach... I currently live in Laguna Niguel and I need to drive to LA a few times a month. I mean... unless I get out by 2pm it’s 4-5+ hour traffic from Westside LA for a route that should take 1 hour. There is a short window of opportunity to get out of LA to OC. This is far worse than Bay Area desu.

From Westside, Uber to Union Station, Amtrak Surfliner to nearest stop in South OC. Uber home.

Based. I always wanted to try this. As it is I mostly manage to get to Westside by 8 am (leave at 5:45) and out by 2pm. But it is pretty stressful. Surfliner seems sweet. The morning commute works out similarly tho with all the stops and ubering.
