The title of best Paradox title is a toss-up between Victoria 2 and CK2 for me. The big thing about V2 is that it actually tried to be an in-depth simulation, with an economy that makes sense (even though Paradox literally doesn't understand their own code anymore... figures), POPs with their own wants and needs who organically migrate, promote and demote, with soldiers actually being POPs (or conscripts being laborers, farmers et cetera) that are permanently lost once a unit dies rather than some abstract "manpower" mechanic et cetera. And even then you NEED the effectively unofficial patch that is HPM to make the game good, as vanilla is pretty boring due to the AI doing fucking nothing.
