teehee

I’ve always dreamed of living as a hermit in total isolation, but I know I’m completely incompetent and would die when the first cold winter hits. That might be for the best anyway.

I'm not feeling it.

This is peak living

I really dont understand why 4chinks idealize and dream about living in a rural environment. Its really inconvenient and everytime you need to do something concerning the government you have to either drive to the nearest largest city or to the capital. Also, lack of certain things drives me insane. People here, rural egypt and im sure this applies to everywhere too, are also more "brash" and "nosey" than urbanites.

>dream
I already live here

>you need to do something concerning the government you have to either drive to the nearest largest city or to the capital
And lmao @ 3rd world. You can do pretty much everything over the internet these days

>Needing to serve to government

That's against the point

I meant government papers like ID and whatever.

Not here I don't think I've stepped a foot to a tax agency for example. IDs get renewed automatically they'll send you a new. You need to be someone really special to having to deal with them face to face. Most people everything is done over the internet. They've shut down so many offices the past 10 years
That's a good thing if you ask me

Attached: 13322719589054.jpg (1148x801, 380K)

I wish they would do that here too. Everytime you go to some gov office here to do something, you need to bribe the gov worker there. Doing things on the internet would prevent that.

Also, bribing is a plague here. There used to be like 20 fishing boxes or whatever you call them in entlish but the Agricultural ministry branch in our governorate took down all of them except 2, who belong to a guy who managed to bribe the people that came here to take down the fishing boxes.
The problem is that these fishing boxes pollute the water because they add tons of food to attract fish in them and usually its bad for the water.

I would hate just living in the forest like that. Too little open space. I feel like there should be at least one direction that should open to some view.

these are way better imo

I can do pretty much everything on the internet or in the nearby small town. The only reason to live in a city is if you work there, otherwise it's just restrictive. You can't do anything in a city.

If you have a house that big you also have 5 girlfriends to live there with you

Ah that makes sense then. I figured they were wooden shingles and thought for sure they would be rotten through inside of a year.

Living in some mansion would just feel weird, like you're living in a fantasy world and you can't connect to anyone. I would end up like Notch.

I'd love to live on a large American ranch.

Buying your own isn't that expensive. Any wagie could afford one

>expensive good
it looks like a piece of shit, there's no rhyme or reason, they just stacked as many boxes everywhere as they could to show off their expensive shit, pathetically small yard too

I know you just picked it because it was the highest priced house on the market

this + 20 minute boat ride to large private island

Thats still against the point

>in a rural environment
Nobody here idealizes being a villagecuck. All of the huts you see are balls deep in the wilderness.

I agree. While a romantic idea, living in complete isolation is not so comfy in practice. I live in a village of 200 inhabitants. Slow internet and snow removal, or rather lack threreof, is the reason why I don't live completely isolated in the countryside. I was looking into renting a log cabin in the middle of nowhere a few years back, but I would have to hire a local farmer to come around with his tractor to clear the gravel road leading down to the cabin of snow in the winter, and the maximum available internet speed out there was 12 mbps.

Attached: F080ED96-4631-4282-8BC2-B12540311A46.jpg (812x606, 107K)

so you dont agree, in the near future all you complained about could be solved with more efficient satellite internet and a tractor to shovel snow

I just think it would suck to have to depend on someone with a noisy-ass tractor to come around and dig you out every other morning in winter. That kinda defies the purpose of living away from everyone.
Even if you were rich and bought your own snowplow or whatever, I would dread having to clear the road of snow and not just being able to get in my car and drive into town when I wanted to. And Internet latency is not something we'll be able to solve with technology - the speed of light is a universal constant, so you're looking at a delay of about a quater of a second no matter what if you're not on a cable grid.

I'll stay in my rural village. As much as I want to live in the forest away from everyone, it's just doesn't seem practical.

I felt a sharp pain in my heart when I looked at your picture

Attached: sad russian apu.png (1400x1140, 297K)

This would be perfection. All i need is food internet and vidya and im good to go

Forgot the pic

Attached: White_Fiat_Ducato_Campervan_2006.jpg (2918x2208, 888K)

delay isn't really a problem in modern internet as long as it's consistent and you don't play vidyas, but i think internet is improving massively every year so there might be technologies we haven't thought of yet that'll improve it.

inregards to snow, i can imagine you can make something like a permanently heated path to your vehicle so snow would never pile onto it and solve your problem, technology can solve all the problem you present user

I’ve found a solution for your issue.

For me it's Siena, Italy.

Also most of you would run back home after two weeks in the wilderness.

Try not to dream too close to cafes and spectacles, because they're going to ruin 4 to 5 months of your life with their "business"

Visited the Highlands, loved it.

very nice. would spend many nights sitting in that chair staring into the fire while drunk.

>I really dont understand why 4chinks idealize and dream about living in a rural environment.
I grew up in one myself and there are things I really like about it.

>Its really inconvenient and everytime you need to do something concerning the government you have to either drive to the nearest largest city or to the capital.
And? Lrn2plan.

>Also, lack of certain things drives me insane.
Like what?

>People here, rural egypt and im sure this applies to everywhere too, are also more "brash" and "nosey" than urbanites.
Ahahahaha no. That's just third-worlders being third-worlders.

Why would you need to go outside in the winter if you have a stock full of supplies and firewood?

Attached: 0000382557-article2.jpg (600x359, 88K)

ive never ever went to the city for goverment related stuff

Same

.

Threads like these are made by anons with no experience living rural, desu. Most of them are probably middle class brats who have no idea what it's like to live independently in an inconvenient environment.

there is a difference between rural and australian rural

Imagine it
>be a high ranking gangster in some mob family
>live in an apartment like that
>be tall, handsome, dark skinned alpha male
>have many good friends and underlings who are like family to you and who you'd trust with your life
>you wake up when you want and go outside to grab breakfast, people greet you everywhere you go
>go sail or drive or swim or just go into town with some friends, have a good time every day
>only ever eat nice, real foods; fresh seafood, steak, pasta, pizza, good wine
>go to sleep with a loyal woman by your side
That would be living the dream imo
