CSA no doubt had the most gifted generals however and more consistent leadership, wonder how the war would have turned out if Jackson wouldn't have been killed. Gettysburg would have turned out differently for sure

Jackson was however not without faults as reflected at Gaines Mill.
The reason people likely regard him so highly is because of his death, Gettysburg, and the Lost Cause movement.
