the internet gold rush is over. we're starting to stagnate. all the low hanging fruits have been picked: >amazon >google >paypal >steam >netflix >facebook >twitter
what's your take on this - are we entering a dark internet age where eventually google and amazon will be the only two megacorps we do our online activities through, or is more innovation coming our way?

We don't have a VR social media site yet (no VRchat doesn't count).
I predict next frontier will be VR, self driving vehicles, and 3D printed products.

Imagine a world where online revenue is powered by microtransactions (I mean fractions of pennies). Instead of watching a dumbass ad for 30seconds before a video can play, you just pay the creator directly like 0.01 cents per minute or w/e the price may be. That's how powerful decentralized, distributed p2p internet could be.

God I hope so.
