hey biz. I Work for an exchange, i only handle tickets and the last month has totally burned me out. The amount of people trying to recoup their losses through margin trading and then losing it all is ridiculous. Waking up to 100 tickets assigned to me, open up three and yep once again, 3 page stories from cry babies who lost everything, their rent money, money to buy food. Lost the will to live etc...because of ((us)) apparently.

And no I don't handle support for Bitmex, its a normal exchange which also offers margin at max x10. having worked for companies in Crypto for 5 years, every indication is telling me that we haven't seen capitulation yet. And I believe that profits of our exchange must be through the roof for August/September, just from lending fees and liquidations. You guys have no idea....Most people also don't even know about maker taker fees. So if they make a profit from margins, its often only 3/4 because they are too stupid to calculate fees. Sometimes people even close in profit (for them), but are at a net loss because they did not calculate fees.

Thats all
end of rant

tell me more about the tears OP

Idk what people expect. If I take all my money and went to a casino and lost it all it's my fault for being irresponsible but as soon as people think of crypto or stocks in general as not gambling that's when they lose money.

Post some of these 3 page stories pls even though it's obvious you're larping it will be fun to see what you come up with.

this. we want screenshots OP

I don't feel sympathetic at all but man it is depressing and demoralizing. Doing support wasn't that bad until people somehow thought we also are psychologists wanting to hear every single issue in their life we somehow caused. There was this user who deposited 8~ BTC and lost it all over the span of a week, he was threatening to kill himself if we did not refund him or offer him something. Then he wanted to sue us, then he started begging. There is no protocol for me to handle these tickets so I just elevate them, and they get assigned back to me because next level support also doesn't want to deal with them. I close them and a few hours later I get even more angry tickets from the same guy assigned to me. I just stopped answering and put his issue on hold, when he replies I don't see it. There are currently 22 tickets in my "on hold" inbox like these.

I prefer not to lose my job.
Believe me, this is a growing issue and it will float to the surface soon enough.
People are losing money at such an rapid pace that I cannot understand.

>I prefer not to lose my job
Yeah I knew you would use that excuse. What a lame larp

Is it true that 95% of all margin traders have no idea what they’re doing and have no TA experience at all?

For some reason I believe him
These will be the same faggots that will go muh sec and ruin crypto

It's true something like 95% lose their money, obviously they all think they know what they are doing though

tickets are confidential, how would you feel about it if I spilled your beans on Jow Forums after going through the loss of your entire net worth?

I do not have any metric insights, I only handle tickets and sometimes get instructions or further information from a higher tech or compliance support level. But with the influx of tickets and users I don't doubt that most users trading with margin lose money. Never get any similar reported issues or tickets from people who just trade spot. Just the occasional fat finger mistakes.

Hey biz. I work for an exchange.

a lot of people work for exchanges, what kind of retard couldn't have a job as customer support for one?

OP

How did you get your job? I also want to work remote crypto support.

could be a larp, it's nothing extraordinary though, people have been losing their money trying to day trade since the beginning of time. if it wasn't crypto it was forex

I work in the health insurance industry and talk business with people who receive a recent cancer diagnosis and parents of children with cancer and I'm strictly forbidden from playing counselor in any way so I know how tough and draining it is dealing with desperate people. Not fun and you have my sympathies.

How much do you get paid OP? I have an interview on Friday? No Larp.

>tickets are confidential, how would you feel about it if I spilled your beans on Jow Forums after going through the loss of your entire net worth?
In the event that I for some reason Google my exchange support ticket wording and find it indexed on Jow Forums archive I would be terrified that 2 or 3 basement dwellers read my post, just like how I submitted it to the entire support team who have read it and are being paid to read and respond to it.
Get fucked you shitty larper. If you are that worried about your internet morals just change the words a bit and put it on an expiring pastebin

have been doing customer support for a long time, all the way from some larger ecommerce sites, to smaller tech start ups (easy to get into). Experience helps, but generally just apply wherever you see a open position. Have linkdin. Would not recommend crypto right now though.

thanks, I can't even imagine the stress from that.

Not much, its 750$/month, essentially for having an inbox and a 12 hour window in which I have to handle an x amount of tickets 6 days a week on my own. Besides these issues it is not a bad job, takes about 2-3 hours of actual work to handle the tickets. Sometimes I do a lot more work since I do like solving issues and talking with people. I am just LVL1 support, not sure if I will ever go higher, but they obviously earn more above me.

> Your ticket has been elevated

Fuck is that kraken?

where do i sign up for the job, been looking for something like this cause i have at least 3-4 hours a day time

are you allowed to trade?

OP here. Go look at any Crypto project or exchange, check if they have open positions and apply. Create a convincing cover letter and send your CV. The barrier of entry for customer support is pretty low, its pajeet tier level work in most cases. This is the highest paid customer support job I have had so far.

No I am not. I am allowed to have one account, and it brings me to an entirely different backend of the exchange. I do have wallets which I am allowed to use.
