1000 eos(under $5 seems to be a good buy range) and then diversify the rest on small cap gems, maybe grab 1 bcash too.

That seems like a good strategy. It could go lower more but I can pretty much gaurantee it will be higher by EOY.
EOS? not a fan of that coin. I tend to stick with the big boys, and ETH has been looking really bad lately with the ICO scams getting called out.. so I just stick with BTC/BCH, and since I think BCH will outperform... well you can see where I'm going with this.

40% BTC (would suggest a tiny amount of BCH, ideally if you're buying like 0.4BTC, get also 0.4BCH, it's the only real contender to the throne but it'll probably fail in the long run)
30% ETH
20% LINK (although I'd suggest maybe putting in 10% in link and waiting if it dips, this recent outbreak could be fake)
10% keep $s or in a stablecoin (DAI is a good one)
