Depends on where you live. One thing welders need a lot of the time is a fire watch. Are you near water? Maybe there's a local shipyard that needs laborers/fire watches. If you are near any military bases, especially those with housing, there are a lot of potential jobs. Base housing contracts everything out from lawn care and commissary workers, to all sorts of maintenance workers. This also gets you clearances that you can use for other jobs and work your way up. You could also do janitorial work in town, find out who your major janitorial contractor is in town and apply, most work is done after hours.
