Yeah they ruined the aqueducts then died of thirst and diseases for quite a while, so they learned how to make worse, but still effective version of it.
However they started doing good when jews started taking them as slaves and using them as cheap workforce in their own countries which they still do today.
I mean you’re looking at race that tried to take over the world, not economically or periodically taking more and more, but instead attempting to take everything and just keep increasing the border of the country after each time they conquer another state less than 100 years ago.
Like just think about it, attempting to take over all of Europe’s countries that all have different cultures and people and expect no retaliation from their side in near future, even if their country obviously doesn’t have enough manpower not normal population to repopulate those areas with Germanic people and integrate them.
Or put it this way, reading about Roman empire and attempting to do the exact same thing in today’s Europe without considering the changes in population, great migration causing more people to flee to Europe and other changes that happened during a span of more than fucking two thousand years.
You surprise the whole Europe and conquer them for a few years, which is fine, good tactic, but how the fuck are you gonna keep them forever considering how many little factions that don’t agree with eachother you have.
