That's asinine. My gf is a BCBA(Board Certified Behavior Analyst) working with autistic children. Around 90 percent her caseload has been boys. The reasons are twofold, girls develop verbally and socially at a much faster than boys which masks a lot of the symptoms, and brain chemistry( autism is sometimes referred to as the "extreme male brain". A lot of the work she does involves training autistic kids to cope with everyday social events, much of the effects of autism can be trained away with socialization. Girls find this much easier than boys on average and don't need as much help.

It's not because of gender bias though. It's because their condition goes undiagnosed. The constant need for equality has seen us compare male and female autism as the same. It's not until these women cling on to third wave feminism and begin to believe that even placid forms of sex are a male form of oppression, do we start to think that there's something wrong.
