As a dual citizen of Canada and US I feel confident saying American healthcare is 100x better.

Im in Canada now and for minor ailments I have to wait fucking 5 hours in some dirty smelly nigger packed clinic just to be seen by some fucking Pajeet nurse who speaks in broken english. And who rushes me out of his office in 5 mins with a prescription cause theres 500 people waiting outside. Its nearly impossible to find a regular family doctor in big cities too.

And don't even get me started on my specialist. If you have something more serious than the common cold the wait list is like 6 months to see someone.

In America I can be seen almost immediately at a rapidcare clinic for only a $10 clinic by a real American doctor who went to a legit med school like northwestern. And 24/7 emergency room visits for only $50 co-pay. And because of capitalism we have an incredible wealth of private practices for every specialty you can think of. You can be seen same week usually for a consultation and schedule a surgery within a month.

Same desu

you waited 5 hours at a walk-in clinic? i find that real hard to believe.

Isn't Mayo Clinic some world renowned special facility? But yeah Americans can't understand what they have

>dual citizen of Canada and US

That's like having dual citizenship of Austria and Germany

It's not that unbelievable. Average wait time must be around hours and I've waited over 3 hours on a couple of occasion in Edmonton and Toronto.

yes a sante clinic in montreal it was horrible and dirty and smelly

yes but also my insurance covers it. I can go wherever I want for healthcare to get the best.

but heres the rapid care clinic in my hometown in USA. its a brand new 100 million dollar facility with incredible technology for such a small town. I can be seen here in 5 minutes for minor stuff and within a week to see my doctor for a more major consultation. luckily they have many doctors so I was able to choose one who studied sports medicine for my bad knee.

It's similar here.
Thankfully I never wait longer than 15mins at my current GP, did wait upwards of 2 hours on the regular at my old one though.

i've never waited more than 30minutes at a walk-in if i don't want to book an appointment with my gp. vancouver.

Not really, there are still border checks in NA.

Nobody denies the quality of US healthcare as long as you have the money to pay for it. What it is argued is that it's inhumane to refuse to cure someone just because he's poor and cannot afford an insurance.

yes. free healthcare is literally theft.

it requires taking money (taxes) by force (threat of imprisonment) to pay for.

literally slavery

You can only be refused if the illness is non-threatening. For example, if you get stabbed or something it’s illegal for them to turn you away.

yeah but if you have cancer or a terminal disease, haha, you're still dead.

What if it's disabling to the point that the guy cannot work?

Then theoretically yeah you’d be fucked. But most companies have healthcare, and most illnesses don’t immediate debilitate you, so it’s not like the average person is immediately thrust into a situation where they’re fighting for their life. It is a problem for homeless people tho, which is where the debate usually lies

The US spends 18% of its GDP on healthcare compared to 11% in Canada. I'd hope it would be more convenient

Fuck off yank.

Stop using roads you fucking hypocrite.

I live in chicago and use toll roads here checkmate gay boy

How did you know, and why did you use GP for general practice. Are you actually from Croatia? Or are you a proxy?

Our hospitals are clogged with niggers, fatties and old people.

it's true. American prices are ridiculous but the health care in most of the country is the best in the world. just avoid the hick places.

I always felt my doctors cared about me there.

Stick it up your ass leaf. Fuck these greedy fucking donkeys that hold the health care system hostage.

Yeah a mixed system is best though. Free public healthcare for when people with absolutely no money need care and private hospitals that offer a wide range of prices and quality. Mostly people just go to private clinics ran by well known doctors and there's dozens for every medical field. By the way, can't you choose where to receive your care in Canada? Why not just skip the bad places and head to a better clinic/hospital?

so sure

That's literally what happens here
