German Silesians, East Prussians and Pommeranians

How was their culture distinct from the rest of Germany? Why did they vote for Hitler? Did they deserve the post war ethnic cleansing by the Red Army?

>ethnic cleansing
They got told to move west that is it. You still have some left in poland.
>Why did they vote for Hitler?
Prussia and similar were always in turmoil with poland and slavs in general. Since its creation more or less. Not too mention Polish people attacking them first.
>How was their culture distinct from the rest of Germany?
They were german like any other. Had some of their own quirks like every Bundesland but that's it. Of course they were also protestant and very much into royalty.

Prussia was always a hotbed of authoritarianism and militarism. Some German states had much more liberal political culture.

>How was their culture distinct from the rest of Germany?
Majority of them were filthy pr*testants. Also many of them were mutts. Remember that these lands used to be Slavic in the past and not all Slavs were killed, but got assimilated by force or willingly. A good example might be my uncle who is a native Kashubian, a descendant of people who lived in Gdańsk area and generaly in Pomerania for centuries before Germans conquered these lands.

>Why did they vote for Hitler?
They were poorer compared to other lands and this caused massive frustration. When people become frustrated they tend to find qucikest and easiest possible solution. This time they simply went too fat.

>Did they deserve the post war ethnic cleansing by the Red Army?
Nobody cleansed them but expelled (my grandfather was expelling Germans from these lands and took part in many battles but he had a car accident and did not make it to Berlin but stayed in Cottubus).

That is not true Silesia was a industrial powerhouse.

Based and bluepilled

Yeah, you are right. All other were much poorer than wester ones.

No fucking wonder your entire history consist in being beaten by all your neighbors.

Poles deserve it, but Macron's hypocrise makes my blood boil.

before being slavic they were germanic.

>""White"" Brazilian

Yea but those had a lot of german royalty and was economically important due to its position.

Eastern Prussia was a literally slav tier shithole. Western wasn't rich as well. Even Gdańsk was a poor city compared to any other western German city. Pomerania has always been underdeveloped land, rather focused on farming and fishing. Silesia (western parto of it) is a different sotry I agree. Central Silesia was a shithole, wheras eastern indeed had many coal mines and was rather rich but it could not compete with Ruhr area for instance.

More like germanized balto-slavic

Eastern Prussia? Meaning Königsberg who was widely known to be one of the most beautiful cities and architectural masterworks in eastern europe?
Gdansk was always inbetween there so its always reasonable to expect that it didn't do very well.
>Centrail Silesia was a shithole
Now I don't know what exactly you mean with central silesia but silesia in general was a major player when it comes to industrialization of germany.
Not necessarily just coal mines mind you. Even today the infrastructure holds up and is probably the main reason why poland got some sort of significance lately.

coalniggers literally have to be subsidized to stay afloat

Daily reminder that Churchill wanted to conserve half o Slesia and the city of Breslau to soviet occuped zone but Stalin wanted the Oder-Neisse line

Beautiful =/= Wealthy (compared to other German lands). Beside one city the area realied on agriculture.

Now I don't know what exactly you mean with central silesia but silesia in general was a major player when it comes to industrialization of germany.
I meant Opole(Oppeln) area. Agriculture as well.

>Even today the infrastructure holds up and is probably the main reason why poland got some sort of significance lately.
True that.

Prussia was made from a knight order with the idea to bring Christianity to heathens. Similar to crusaders.

If you look up the infrastructure in poland you'd see the most developed places are in the former german places and in warsaw.
>coalniggers literally have to be subsidized to stay afloat
Industry kinda has the idea to also import raw products to turn them into more valuable products. Silesia also had a big textile industry for example among others.
>Beautiful =/= Wealthy (compared to other German lands). Beside one city the area realied on agriculture.
And rich royals. Who Prussia had more than enough of. Well and huge military which was financed by those royals.

Thank God for the superior Germans that built Eastern Europe
