when the revolution occurs amazon employees will hang from the lampposts

whichever city wants to absolutely ruin their economy

Wasn't NOVA already picked?

There is zero chance for anywhere in frackland. Your shit is fucked but you can't afford the flir to see it. Silent spring much?

The PA turnpike and other highways are retarded. Harrisburgh is especially retarded. The northern appalachia trunkline is 90, not 76. Fuck 76 and 80 and 68, they gonna have to get 81 fully modernized.

Tell me about this flir and silent spring

Probably south California

Because Pennsylvania is the best state in America

Ive been living in PA for 1.5 years now and have to disagree. Weather sucks, bad roads, stupid beer laws...its got some nice places but Id rather be in the South...I thought Atlanta was going to be HQ2?

Fuck off South scum

Attached: 1451529788720.png (1556x860, 1.91M)

I will gladly fuck off back to the south in another year...enjoy your socialism, crappy beaches with freezing water in summer and your god awful winters.

It will be in the Virginia/Maryland/Washington DC area. Guaranteed.

Probably. Bezos bought the Washington Post for a reason.

I'm heavily considering moving to Pittsburgh in the next month or 2.

Currently living in Morgantown (WVU alum) but I'm suddenly sick of the total lack of infrastructure, and for that matter lack of concern about literally anything that's not related to the university.

Attached: culturally enrich.jpg (246x246, 18K)

>Implying we even have beaches
That's what a second house in Florida is for

Pittsburgh fag here. It’s not going to be pittsburgh.

The city doesn’t have a reliable public transportation system and the taxation on businesses and their employees in the city means that it’ll never happen.

With flir the rolling clouds ofgassing from fracking collection tanks is very visible rolling downhill and pooling in the valleys.

There is not much diversity left in those zones. Nights are silent. The bees are gone.

pls no

I was in Motown today, live in Wheeling

Pittsburgh has a shot at it because believe it or not, Pittsburgh is number one in automation technology. CMU is no joke.

They won’t put it in Pittsburgh city limits. That wouldn’t make any sense, they’ll put it just outside. Canonsburg or something.

probably somewhere on the east coast

I really wanna see some of these images?

Pennsylvania is a shithole

Because Pittsburgh is unironically the goat american city

t. Burgher who has lived in Chicago LA and NYC

Why is it undesireable for your city to be picked?

>Thinks Chicago, LA, or NYC is more important than Bezos 2nd home
>Thinks DC/VA/MD isn't superior based on Amazon's needs

Fren, get a clue

Are you retarded or something?

honestly very interested as to why the DC area isn't in the running for HQ considering over 75% of aws govcloud employees are in the area

Newark NJ is where its going stupid, get fucked.

Not as busy or expensive as NYC, not as backward and shit as Pittsburgh or Chicago.

NJ all the way

Maybe they're not dumb enough to actually want ruin their city.

It is desirable from a real estate perspective

Because it will drive real estate prices through the roof and the only jobs created will be filled by Bezo's endless horde of pajeets. Good if you're a real estate speculator. Terrible for anyone else. It will also irreversibly alter huge parts of your city. In Seattle the South Lake Union neighborhood may as well have been carpet bombed by the number of old buildings left.

The pajeets also come with cars

Why Pittsburgh? Because it's full of depressed worker drones with zero hopes and dreams. Literally perfect for working in a cage.

Y'all idiots is dumb. They're putting the new plant in Detroit for the cheap real estate and readily available labour.

Jow Forums neets BTFO

Attached: 1537404135440.jpg (1920x1080, 643K)

Also you better not reply to this using racism, that's just inappropriate and wrong

>be me
>know Bezos lives in Seattle WA
>think the Washington post is a newspaper from the state
>read
>look up on wikipedia
>tfw I'm a total complete retard

it's worse in Midwest you ungrateful prick

Last month I went to Pittsburg to visit my cousins. We went to the market square. I went to McDonald's there and it was the worst piece of shit I've ever seen. There were niggers everywhere and 3 of the. Were pregnant(one was McDonald's employee). They weren't even wearing gloves and the black employees prioritize other blacks other over other people, even if the other darkies came later than me. I can understand why Jow Forums wants to kill them all.

Software developer in NOVA here

I am hoping this will be good for us, more jobs for people like me in the area

kek

>DC not already ruined
It's godawful. Everything about it but the job market is kind of shitty at best but the cost of living is like what you'd pay to live in paradise.

Yes, every McDonald within the city here is a depressing nig zone. Go ten minutes outside and they’re full of beautiful smiling whites

>amazon hq good for anyone

I’m a dev in NOVA as well and holy fuck the traffic is so shitty I hate this place so much. You aren’t going anywhere on the weekends here and everything is overpriced

You guys crazy... it will be somewhere in Texas.

Hahahahaha imagine being this much of a brainlet holy shit

>Newark
>Not backwards
>NJ
>Not total shit
Then again you guys brag about having the biggest cucked property tax bills like it's a dick measuring contest

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 35K)

I hope so, my house in austin would like double overnight

m.youtube.com/watch?v=6tNXQvJ0dRw

I don't care as long as they don't come to Boston, city is already fucked up enough

Hahaha were you trying to make a point here?? Wtf is an emition anyway? You want to side yourself to a butt hurt hillbilly who didn't pass the 8th grade because he failed to spell emission

We all argue on the Jow Forums a lot, but at least everyone who isn't from NJ agrees that NJ and NJer's are objectively the worst part of America. Somehow even worse than Californians.

All of the waste from coal/fracking/paper plants here has made people retarded. We have entire counties that are known as cancer zones. The state doesn't even test water, and when it has been independently tested, it's worse than Flint MI.

>Canadian media was buzzing all last year about how Amazon was likely to pick Canada because drumpf.
>Everyone speculating either Calgary or Vancouver, with Calgary being the favourite.
>Only Canadian city to make the shortlist was Toronto.

It's not going to Toronto.

It will be somewhere in the south.

Anywhere in Texas

They have the US cucked. Read betwixt the lines. Bezos: as above, so below

Leave one shithole for another
Why?
There's so many other interesting places in this beautiful country
GTFO of the midwest fren

Dude Morgantown sucks. Move to the north or east side of pittsburgh. I'm in murrysville but highland park is nice and so is cranberry. Or go to the south side if you want to be kept up all night by drunk college kids.

Why the fuck would they have to use 81 dip shit? This isnt a distribution center its an hq. Plus they'll have a constant stream of grads from pitt and cmu so it kind of makes sense. And dont forget that Google, uber and netapp are already here too.

K let's not move the goalposts and see those studies on air pollution. One like this would help

marcelluscoalition.org/2018/07/top-state-environmental-agencies-report-clean-air-pristine-waters-in-shale-development-areas/

Cause Toronto is a shithole. Plus we don't need the traffic.

This. That's why it's going to be Nashville. They've had no problem letting people come in and completely destroy the city so far.

false

It's a fucking dump, full of white hard-asses and nogs

There are a few nice parts up by Lake Erie, and the Allegheny Forest region is comfy, but that aside it's a rotting, depressing, polluted shithole

NOVAfag here.

So the second Amazon makes the announcement, buy a house? Currently living with parent.

>the midwest
Really niqqa?
Pittsburgh/Morgantown is the midwest to you?

This is still no doubt part of the east coast. If I can drive

Attached: 1512317182174pol_0.jpg (400x568, 45K)

I was phone posting on the shitter so new id. There's a couple rough area's like Wilkinsburg and East Liberty but they're gentrifying the shit out of those places right now because they're right next to Google. Plus the nogs usually just keep to themselves. Highland Park, Squirrel Hill, Bloomfield and Lawrenceville are all nice as fuck too. There's some pockets of hipsterism there but its not too bad. And the commute to downtown isn't terrible unless you have to go through one of the tunnels. Like I said I come from Murrysville so if I do have to commute to the city it takes me around 50 minutes. Its a straight shot though so not terrible.

And ya the South Side is cool and the slopes behind it but its a little pricey to live there. Just stay out of the low COL area's and you won't see any boomers.

I've lived in Boston, Philly, and NY. Pittsburgh's easily the best of the four that I've lived in.

Ton of universities, the museums and libraries are among the best in the world, the healthcare system is some of the best in the nation, lots of youth and energy. Burgeoning food scene. Good sports teams. Lots of diversity. There's a reason why we hosted the G20 -- we're a model of postindustrial success.

I think Amazon is headed to DC area, but we'd be a good pick. We have a ton of tech offices because of CMU and, to a lesser degree, Pitt/RMU. Home prices are rising, but still better than 95% of American cities. The only drawback would likely be the public transportation infrastructure, but I'd imagine that Amazon would actually reinvigorate it, same way Pitt did by giving students free access.

Any Pittsburghfags want to meet up and talk about Link, hit me up at [email protected]

Also a NOVAfag living with parents.

Why is rent so fucking ridiculous here?

Probably RDU (Raleigh/Durham area, North Carolina). Good balance of being cucked to jews while not being a flyover state.

NOVA?

Crypto neet Burgher here, live in the strip.maybe I'll organize a Meetup some day . You fags are usually major autists though so I have my reservations

Not a neet thankfully. In my last year of compsci at Pitt. Although I'm not a fan of fat sergey so you guys probably won't like me.

>>>>
>>inappropriate and wrong XD
Detroit the long pass Paris of the West
most certainly was better off being Nuked or FireBombed. Then to be the sad charature husk of a reflection its current subhuman inhabitants horror exhibits. Truth
Now Get Bent faggot

Raleigh/Durham for sure.

> UNC Chapel Hill/NC State/Duke for young cheap SKILLED talent

> Rest of the State has cheap UNSKILLED talent

> Traffic is not fucked

> Housing costs are still cheap

> Relatively attractive to young demographic of workers

Attached: carolina2.jpg (438x550, 32K)

It really is too perfect not to do it there. It will also be really convenient for Amazon execs to drive over to the State Capitol to lobby (demand) any and everything they want.

Never realized there were so many shittsburghers on Jow Forums

diversity isn't a good thing

>Traffic is not fucked
What fictional land do you live in? Do you also have elves?

Well its got to be East Coast and its not going to be on a New England coastal city because they're too expensive, and most inland NE cities too because of taxes.

Detroit and Atlanta both make great locations because of the large desperate work forces and governments ready to bend over backwards for a few million in bribes. They are also both centrally located for their respective regions.

However I think someplace in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky is more likely because of their locations, and because they can build the factory almost anywhere and have a good amount of towns already within a 20 minute vicinity, meaning cheap land. Hell he could make the HQ its own airport if he wanted to, and then they can fly anywhere East of the Mississippi within 5 hours.

Ya go figure.

This.
DC already has the infrastructure to host amazon.
It'll be even easier for them to lobby the government.
It was sort of leaked a few months ago that, internally, searches for DC real estate from users in the seattle area had spiked.

pittsburgh's deal is a secret double buttfuck to the taxpayers
it's all over the news people want to see what the government is giving amazon, but the people aren't allowed to see it legally
the most corrupt state in the country is going to win again

>DC real estate

AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You had me until this.

Attached: duude.png (1042x752, 1.37M)

How is he holding the joint? That just looks weird.

L O L I live 10 minutes away from the proposed Virginia site

businessinsider.com/amazon-hq2-could-go-to-virginia-evidence-2018-3

No shortage of tech jobs here in Nova

Attached: 5abe74282f2ece1c008b4646-960-720[1].png (960x720, 556K)

columbus, ohio along with facebook building a data center here

LMAO!

All the tards in here saying places like ohio, pittsburgh, detroit are potatoes. Amazon needs actual intelligence for HQ2, not some tards

It'll be in the DC/MD/VA area

It’s come here, right outside Toronto. It’s going to make my commute 2 hours+ and turn the city in New York level prices. 1,000,000 dollar shacks with immigrants everywhere.

>Pittsburgh
lmao. Somewhere in TX would be my guess.

>Newark
OH NO NO NO

Pittsburgh really is in a hard to define region. Yes, in some ways it feels more like a Midwest city like Cleveland, and it’s still 6 hours from the eastern coast. It’s also a lot different than Philly/NY

what do you thinks gonna happen when thousands of people are doing the same thing as you (buying the news)? The people who win from amazon's choice are those who already own houses in the area

legit. it's gonna be a coastal city, not some depressing midwestern hell hole

>It’s also a lot different than Philly/NY

Better is the word you're looking for.

>requires intelligence
>literally next to CMU

Sounds like you're the only potato here.

They will only move somewhere that gives ample room for parking. If you've ever seen a real HQ for enormous companies they're always campus-sized so they can be their own independent village. IBM uses a winding hilltop in Armonk, NY.
