Why shouldn't I buy lots of card now as investment?

also curious about this

The vast majority of people buying will be people who want to flip as an investment.

You'll most likely be trading back and forth between investors looking to make profit instead of actually playing the game.

is this better than the zombie card game?

true... to start with

but if it takes off these cards could start approaching black lotus levels

worth a punt

Because there is another project with ccg already live on steam and staking coming in october and creator of MtG is the advisor
Collectibles are generally risky, but seeing how much people are willing to spend on games I'd take my chances

You should buy a lot of cards now. Once the beta goes live the Genesis set won't be sold again. Any card you buy now will be extremely rare and sought after when the masses show up. I also recommend you only buy Rare packs, I pulled a one of a kind epic tier diamond card from a Rare pack that will likely pay for my the rest of my deck.
This game solves Hearthstone's biggest shortcoming that the cards will be trad-able/sellable; players are starting to wake up to the issue.

A chance to actually own the cards will be welcomed by players.

u missed just 1 small detail in all of that, no one will want to have those cards in a shit tier card game

>if it takes of
>virtual cards
>that cost lots of money
>game is basically hearthstone but expensive and uses crypto

no, hearthstone is a very playable and appealing game for casual gamers, this is some shit basement tier game

Pretty much this. Ill give a try to the game. If the game itself is garbage, having tradeable cards wont save it.

I don't get it. Why would these digital cards be so valuable? The devs can decide to sell some legacy sets in the future and the digital nature of these cards implies that they could be duped via exploits.

Besides, already existing ccg like MtG, Hearthstone and ES:L actually feature card games based on well-known, extremely popular game franchises, not 'literal who's'. And all these games are free to play. So the only reason why people would buy this one is because of the RMT element?

By the time the beta is out, the Genesis deck won't be available to purchase. I can agree the game needs to be great in order to be played, but judging from the game's artwork and the mechanics on the cards it's looking like it could be quite solid. High risk high reward, but if successful could open the door to ETH based gaming, and take us out of the experimental CryptoKitties era.

It also has warcraft lore. Warcraft is great

These cards are on the blockchain, every single card's history can be tracked and followed, and your deck is tied to your ETH wallet. The devs could even go ahead and sell legacy cards (even though they said they wouldn't) but people just need to look at the network and can immediately confirm if a card is first edition or not. Cards can't be duped either because again, they are all on the blockchain.

>m-muh card's history says it's from the genesis packs!
>>ok but it shows up the same as mine in the game
>n-no! b-baka! yours is a later version!
>>but the effect and graphic is the same
>>it doesn't even say "genesis edition" or something on yours
>>it's literally the same card
>b-baka!!! I paid 150ETH for this card!!

>Describing exactly how collectible traders behave already

You're missing the whole point, only collectibles of immensely popular things can get expensive. Pokemon, MTG, Baseball cards. That's it. I'll give you that gamers are notoriously retarded as a whole, but even they only play things that are fun. They don't care that it's on the 'blockchain'. If they wanted to resell their cards, they'd play magic the gathering IRL.

Blizzard is making over $200 Million a year selling Hearthstone card packs to players, whose biggest complaint is they can't trade/sell the cards. There is an online market for this just waiting to be opened.

Yes, for heathstone, not a shitty hearthstone clone, with no actual game client.

You're either profiting from shilling this or completely deluded by their discord

fuck up cunt, people want this feature and they will play the game if its good.

they want this feature in Hearthstone
not clone #918487134 that runs on Blockchainā„¢

They aren't getting it in Hearthstone. Blizzard is making shit ton of money, why would they give such a beneficial feature to players if it means hurting their bottom line? The only way it would ever happen is if a competitor does it first, and they start losing players to said competitor.

Yeah, I remember that time when WoW was killed by that one revolutionary MMO
oh wait that never happened

have fun trying to topple blizzard
so far only shadowverse is coming anywhere close, and only that is because they're pandering to weebs with huge anime tiddies
