Is printing 10 different wallets and storing 1K on each a safe way?

Yeah thats safe.. shove one up into you ass to be sure

OK if you can afford 10k LINK then spend the money and buy a Ledger Nano or Trezor

Well if you store them all together it's a little redundant, but if you laminate them and put them in secure locations it should be fine. 10 seems like overkill though, maybe 4 or 5

Get the same amount in one wallet don’t see the problem

Lose 1 Trezor or wallet with all in it and lose all LINK, lose 1 wallet this way and only lose 10% that’s not hard to understand right?

Also Lets say I want to cash 1K LINK, this way the rest of the LINK won’t get exposed.

10K EOY remember?

One wallet I don’t think I will lose it
10 wallets I will probably lose one

Serious question, I will not sell until 1k, how could I be exposed ?

I will sell some before 1K, I can’t imagine it going to 1k only to check my wallet and find out it isn’t there anymore, I will definitely kms in that case

10 might be a bit too much yes, will do 5

buy a fucking ledger. i bought one when i only had $300 in crypto. it just makes sense especially if you think your 10k link will be worth ten million. why the fuck wouldnt you just buy one?

Because I don’t want to store it all in one place, simple as that

Then buy two, you fucking pleb.

GO BACK

Agree with you but why not sell 1k and move the other 9k to another wallet ?
With that solution, no worry to be hacked.

why are hardware wallets safer than paper wallets?
if I lose my nano or tresor, or it gets stolen, or burns down in a fire...the same shit can happen to my paper wallet too. So why not just store in 2-3 paper wallets with few copies of laminated private keys on different places.
If it all goes as planned, next week i'll buy my 8k linkies and not touch them till 3 digits.
Help frens, how to store and why?

One paper wallet, copy your key in two secured places.

Do 5 wallets

Test them send small Eth back and forth. Let us know what you do

Are you using MEW or MyCrypto

How do you secure a paper wallet though? You have to type your private key which means it can be intercepted.

How do you create a paper wallet? Please help a brainlet out and provide step by step instructions

Hardware wallets can generate more than one seed you newfags. It’s the safest way to make a paper wallet. No need to buy more than one. I’ve used one ledger to make multiple paper wallets.

thanks fren.
another question: I plan to run a node. didn't had time to look at the howto, but will in the forthcoming weeks. (just finished my final exam in civil engineering msc, now it is time for real buisness)
so if I lock up my linkies in a node. can I expand the number of tokens? so if I try to set up an aws node with 1 link just to test, can I add another let's say 8k?
or to twist it. if I have a node with 8k, and later buy another 2-3k, can I add it to the same node so it can handle contracts with bigger value? (and to not lose the previously gained reputation)

An Ethereum paper wallet can be created on MEW, you just print it out. Same thing for Bitcoin. It's kinda annoying because you'd have to make a different one for every type of digital currency you have.

Yeah, you can add or subtract tokens from a node anytime. Just know that it'll affect your reputation since part of your reputation score is based on how many tokens you have staked

How and where do I do they from?

yeah, tought that it will affect, but hope they figure out some kind of proportionality, so that it does not lose all the reputation.

will do my further research on paper vs hardware wallet, cuz im still not sure what are the pros and cons

As in what do you mean" print it out?"

if you want an ETH address follow this^^ if you want a bitcoin wallet or something else you have to use a different site

I don't think the amount of LINK you have plays too much of a role in your reputation. The more you have lets you stake on more contracts though.

Having more LINK in a node in the future would probably be really beneficial. Can you imagine how many contracts you could stake on if LINK was $500 and you had 10k LINK in a node?

same user, just switched to phone just bedtime

Ok, I understand where are you heading, meantime I think 500 is a bit deluded. I really belive in link, I took a small loan to buy them, because I’m an eastern europoor third world country fag, so I really belive...but man, 500 seems craaazy. Still, I get your point.

Btw I’m a bit sad. I waited for dreamforce really bad, cuz muh partnership. It was rumored to be one of the biggest...aaaand it’s nothing. I didn’t want to hear them endorse cl on stage or something...just a hint for exaple that they will use a decentralised oracle network...no. They will use a fucking private network. Step by step seems like every rumor gets btfod.

Actually if you lose the hard wallet you won't lose all of your Link as there are 2 cards to write your seed down on when you set it up. You could create as many paper wallets as you want to back up the hard wallet but I think that you are being a little paranoid but hey that's your prerogative and that's not too hard to understand is it you patronizing prick ? And just to say 10K EOY shows you're a fucking idiot.

Look.

When you need to transfer crypto with a paper wallet. You have to type in your private key. That's when the majority of crypto is stolen.

Will hardware wallets you don't have to type your private key to makes transfers. Hardware wallets make it impossible for fake websites or keyloggers to fuck you over.

Also if your ledger is stolen. You'll be fine.
