Heard about it and got interested around 2011/2012. Even downloaded the mining software but the technical aspects were way too confusing for me so I just never bothered mining. Buying with FIAT back then required some weird fucking hoops too, it wasn't nearly as easy as it is now. So I wasted my opportunity to buy when it was like $10. Oh well, I would have probably sold it when it hit $1k anyway
Back in high school I was shopping on Amazon using the TOR browser. Was only 16 at the time and pretty autistic, so a lot of the time I would transfer BTC to the sites I would use and often have a good bit left over. Thinking nothing of the .25 BTC I never transferred back(even though I didn't even have a private wallet). I easily bet I lost at least 2 BTC. But I've lost tons of money in the past so fuck it.

first i want to say this isn't larp or any exageration. i heard about bitcoin really fucking early. it must have been 2009. if you wanted to buy bitcoin you had to find people to trade with. they were asking for $2.70 per bitcoin. that was a lot for make believe money. i really really wanted to go all in. but i knew it would take years to be worth something but also it could be worth nothing. i decided to get rich another way. came back in late 2017. made 1 mil from nothing in 4 months. lost that mil in last 8 months. oh, i came back for a week in 2014 for doge coin. played around with it a little. then left. last day i read about antshares in a post on here. smart contacts seemed so ambitious and i didnt like the name.

Maybe for some people back then, cost it $0.10 to mine each bitcoin so they will be selling at $0.20 or even more.
And other people mine it for less than $0.005 because they were living in a subsidized country like China, so they were be selling it for less than 0.01.

A decade ago I was browsing Jow Forums and found a thread about the TED Talk about decentralization which was about Bitcoin. That video was informative and got me interested in blockchain technology. Back then I had a really shit laptop and thought it was fun to mine funny internet money.
I earned about a few bitcoin and saved it in a secure wallet which was stored in a flash drive until I met a person online who convinced me to store them on Mt Gox. And that's how I stopped caring about this until a few years later and got back into mining. I was on litecoin and mined 10 in a year but the pool exit scammed out. Again I jumped out.
I came back recently and bought in. Started with 1. 2k and so far im above 900

If you lost BTC at MtGox you should know that they have civil rehabilitation proceedings underway and there's a shot that you could get some BTC + BCH back. Probably not all of it since they don't have all of it left but maybe some.

no, you don't understand the logic then. bitcoin has the same number of locked/inactive/inaccessible coins as bitcash does, but bitcash has bitmain who has been loading up on over a million coins along with a lot of other people that have no interest in selling their bitcoin, but do have an interest in selling their airdrops.

2009 spent a few hours configuring mining software on my machine before deciding it was a waste of time and deleted everything. I liked the idea, but didn't think the world was ready for something like bitcoin. been watching it ever since, but was too bitter about missing out on the initial gains to buy in until 2017.
It should be late 2009 or early 2010. I was dumb and a poor student. Only way for me to obtain btc was either mining or faucets. I didn't want to use my pc for mining because I was gaming even tough the electricy was free(campus life). And wasn't pajeet enough to click on faucets(only If I fucking did back then).
Then I paid attention again when it first hit $200(dunno when) and watched it to moon to $1k, read a bit more about it, witnessed the glorious dumpenning. Occasionally checked price(around every 3 months)Got back in late 2016, took hefty profits at december.
