Why are stock markets closed at night and on saturdays?
Also i understand why they closed on sundays but why also on saturdays?
Why isn't it like open Monday 1am to saturday 11pm without a break

because wagecucks dont want to work monday 1am to saturday 11pm
Unironically boomers
No one forcing them to trade at this times but it would be a lot better if you could just trade whenever you want
So you dont see the massive trades being doing afterhours.
Kek dont enter this world you gonna lose it all.
Boomers need a lot of sleep.
This shits been standardized since the early 1900's. Back before you did everything on a computer and needed physical presence to execute trades.
because the shitshow can only be held together with regularly scheduled episodes and a lot of behind the scenes manipulation
>be west coast NEET
>wake up
>market closed
heh, at least I cant lose my money if I cant trade!
I feel like its so fucking obvious and yet nobody talks about it
why is DJIA moving 200 points after hours and opening way higher than usual, and then moving sideways all day
>saturdays
ever heard of Jews?
investment banker fag here.
its a total scam that the stock markets half certain hours.
jsut look at what happened to facebook when it opened at 175 the day before it was 200
and CGC that unironically opened at $40 and change before closing the day at 50+ the day before and pumped immediately after
LMAO
fucking scam. if this were crypto you'd atleast have the chance to exit your position
free and unconstrained markets will prevail
Why the fuck do stock markets still have physical rooms like this when everything is done electronically?
if I'm so fucking dumb explain it faggot
smoke and mirrors, every aspect about it is a scam for those with control and power to take advantage of
computers can't run at night, that's why.
because the movement was on news, or currency fluctuations, or because the market wanted to move overnight and now while you weren't watching it. that's how markets work; they don't fit within a window of time.
*not while you were watching it
>you'd atleast have the chance to exit your position
cant u just trade after hours though..
It's to prevent predictably low volume and market manipulation
