>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
Should I keep holding amzn or just sell it. It seems to fuck me on a daily base recently.
Lincoln Martinez
Is Investopedia's stock market simulator a good simulator? I'm new at this and I'm trying to learn by using market simulators first before I move on to the real thing.

I want to get into long term investing; how do I know which societies give dividends?
Hunter Ramirez
Dividends require huge purchases of shares to actually total up to much. Focus on companies which have long term profitability and build up those positions over time (3-5 years). After you've finally built up your position, you can assess whether to sell out for a profit if you believe they've more or less maxed out their growth or continue to hold and build up your dividends further.
I'm not an expert but this is how most value investors say they work.

Me just had funny dream It was about Strawhat Luffy after he became pirate king We were negotiating with some guy named Bolenov who controlled all gold He was evil so we were really looking for ways to reduce his power
Me wanted Luffy to force his territories fir stop accepting gold as payment
Jose Flores
I advise you all to load up on $PLUG, you can either trust me, some dumb autistic user, or you can actually research it and see why it's going 3x at least.
With love -user

Check out their dividend growth and most importantly, dividend coverage. A small yield, %-wise, that grows over the years is better than big risky yield right now. Div growth tends to pull the price its way, a dividend increase makes it go up while a cut obviously makes it go down. So a nice divvie grower will give you the bonus of price appreciation too.

Do you guys add to the booklist?

>Gross revenues of $39.9 million in the second quarter of 2018, an increase of over 75% from second quarter 2017 >Adjusted gross margin was 8.1% in the second quarter of 2018; versus negative 1.9% in second quarter of 2017 >Adjusted loss per share of $0.08 in the second quarter of 2018; versus an adjusted loss per share of $0.10 in second quarter of 2017
Ongoing lawsuit probably won't amount to much. Thanks for the heads up.
Daniel Cooper
The futures are looking a little bearish. Looks like those VXX calls won it. #winning #TLT #VXX

Alright you fags I need to start thinking about investing and stock trading. 22 year old European here with a good job outta college (software)
Now before I devour the info in the general I want to know one thing, what will the tax situation be once I start? Will I have to pay taxes on literally everything I do (Germany here)
Please give me a brief gestalt, will succ dicc in exchange.
Every single cent in taxes I pay to the subhuman German government brings me closer to the point when I vomit out my organs.
Adam Thompson
Bump for curiosity
Asher Johnson
On US dividends you are gonna pay tax directly at the source, the US taxman will take ~30% out of your divvies. But since your country has a tax treaty with the US, your broker is gonna submit a W-8BEN form to the us taxman and he will match your tax rate to that of Germany. On the rest, you gotta consult your own tax code.
Chase Gonzalez
Thanks for the info.
Looked it up and you're right.
So what dawns on me all of a sudden is that damn stock traders have it fucking hard. I mean all the developed countries want an overconfident bite out of the trader's hard work.
Stock trading doesn't seem that great all of a sudden. But I obviously have no other choice lel
I hope nobody here owns any SMCI because this shit is gonna tank real hard today
Parker Ramirez
I only bought for for a fiddy since I was curious, I'll just see how it goes
Aaron James
Being a long-term investor on /smg/ is suffering. Lots of super high green days, followed by plummeting red ones, only to average out a decent 2.5% profit throughout the quarter.
Asher Jones
I hear you senpai All of my picks are long term plays and most of them are bleeding May Buffett-sama have mercy on us
>caught the GE knife at 11.36 Wew lads, I'm happy they are one of my frens this quarter. Might load up on some more KO today if the bears keep this up
Owen Reyes
Why do so many other anons on /smg/ shit all over Buffet? Dude is disgustingly rich and successful. Is it because he couldn't achieve that overnight? I just don't get it.
Joshua Hughes
I don't see people shitting on Buffet, and I've been here all summer.
James Torres
It's a meme
Austin Gray

Because a single summertime employment in his teens was enough to buy a car. Smart investments, but mostly the relative low level of inflation on the shekel
Caleb Russell
Goodbye snap
Jace Mitchell

Ian Mitchell
