There are only two possible versions of why Trump is Prez:

1) Russia is attacking the US, the Cold War never ended. This one is highly likely considering how many other Russian attacks have been identified in recent years. They are trying to cause dissent and division and knew Trump would be most likely to do that.

2) Extreme leftists planted him because they knew the pendulum would have to swing as wide in the other direction since he’d cause such a visceral reaction. The doldrums of America get to cheer him on a little and feel rewarded in spite of their idiocy, and when we snap back the majority of America gets true progression.

For me theory 1 is most likely. There is no world where Trump is actually the choice of the American people. The fact that there are people dumb enough to think that in this thread is proof of such.

The formula is that you either ally with the press to get genuine support (immunity from scandals, free coverage of your issues, all of Hollywood, etc) or you bait them into constant negative coverage (scandal immunity via oversaturation, free coverage by making your messages horrific to the media but positive for your base).
