Just like I told you fucks a few weeks ago. Our contract was just voted down. I hope you got your put options In. Your welcome!!
Ups union insider....told you so
I do remember your post. but I didn't bother putting any money on whatever but good luck out there
Why have you stopped delivering my packages? All Amazon packages are being delivered by some new company.
We haven’t stopped amazon has been slowly moving to doing everything in house on their own.
you could make a dope RV with one of those
>Be me, work for FedEx, recovering on workers comp, based injury timing.
Good luck user
Same. Good luck UPS dude.
What's going on?
I don't remember anything about a UPS poster. I wageslave too much.
So I won't be getting my packages then?
Quick run down
>ups made 6 billion in profit this year, after purposefully dumping money on new tech, new buildings and new equipment this past year to make it appear their profit was lower
>our yearly raises don’t even match inflation
>we usually get told our health deductibles for the whole term of the contract, this time nothing
>dot says we can only work more than 60 hours a week in “emergency conditions””. Ups claimed last Christmas was an emergency and forced employees to work 70 hours a week for 6 days
>new drivers will get paid much much less than the current drivers as they created a new “classification” of drivers
>our pension contribution increase is shit, honesty most drivers would much rather a 401k change so we can control our own money as our pensions are failing
>management constantly harasses us, to the point where people go in and shoot up their job. See the Bay Area shooting
>we have excessive over time language, but if you sign up on the “no excessive over time list” you get harassed and they try to fire you
>part time ups employees make 11hr. That’s 11hr for loading 120 degree trailors box by box in the summer. We asked for 15hr starting with catch up raises. Ups offered 13hr. Fucking McDonald’s pays more
There is more I’m probably forgetting. Ups is a high pressure high stress job and we know that. But over the past 10 years it’s gotten out of control. All we ask is for fair wages, and fair treatment. We don’t understand that if they are making record profits and got a huge tax break why that’s not possible.
Sounds like cheap online sales fucked you guys.
There hope, the aerospace company I worked for was doing the exact same thing.
Low wages, shit job, forcing OT despite record sales.
Then Trump came along and suddenly they were forced to offer competitive wages.
Average Shop wage went from $12, to $16.
Most guys who were stuck under $20 were bumped up above $20
Always light at the end of the tunnel man.
>We don’t understand that if they are making record profits and got a huge tax break why that’s not possible.
Simple. Because the republicunt dream of trickle down economics doesn't work. The ones at the top just pocket extra profits while continuing to squeeze their employees the same as they always have. Corporations only increase pay when the market demands it, not out of their own good will because they have extra cash laying around.
UPSer up here in Canickistan. Fuck UPS. Can't wait to get away from this shithole company.
>We don’t understand that if they are making record profits and got a huge tax break why that’s not possible.
Because the workers put up with the stress and are easy to replace.
Man I love my teamsters brothers
But fuck you canadians for Voting for Hoffa. This is the issue. Hoffa is in bed with ups. His dad would kill his ass if he knew what he gave up.
Actually we’re not. Believe it or not the Job is not only physically but mentally demanding. We can’t keep new drivers. They all drop like flys.
Is that why they're slow as fuck now? It used to be 2-day, what happened to that? Niggers!
So when are the drones going to replace you people entirely? Seems like it will be soon at this rate.
I think it's funny the teamsters are run by a Mob ties guy
I work for Fedex Express. We aren't union and we don't make as much as you UPS bros, but Fedex doesn't work us to the bone (at least not at my Midwestern station). I actually like my job, route, and air conditioned Mercedes sprinter. Sure, xmas time sucks, but the rest of the year it's pretty chill. I make enough to pay the bills, drive a nice car, take a trip to Hawaii every year... but i'm not pulling in 70k like the UPS dudes on my route. But they constantly look like they want to kill themselves, so i guess it's a trade off.
I remember loading for a huge warehouse for about a year and a half. The Supervisors try to make you work harder but don't pay you and the turnover is so bad that if you've been there long enough they'd have to cut off an arm to get you fired.
>work fedex freight part time
>$18.50 per hour
>29 hours per week
>full benefits, 401k, pension, healthcare
>job is easy b/c forklift does all the work
>haven't lifted a box in weeks
