Is living in a van a meme or is it the smart thing?

I don't have much money left for rent, maybe 2 years of rent money left. I'm just wondering how cheap would it be to buy a used van and convert it to a living space so I can keep this NEET lifestyle indefinitely. I prefer being alone so I know I wouldn't mind a small space as long as I have a comfy bed, table with laptop and bathroom/shower.

Whatever structure you choose, I'd also look into getting a cheap parcel of land. The issue with vans, rvs, and such is that you must park it someplace. If I were doing that type of life, I'd get a piece of land to use as a home base.

And if you work remotely or better yet don't need to work at all, it'll be super cheap to buy if you look out of major cities and into rural communities

Constant on the move, issues with shitting and taking a shower. Can't take a girl to your bang bus.

Just get a job and save for a trailer and some land.

I think if I did what suggested and buy a small land it wouldn't be that bad. It's possible to have a small shower with a toilet in the van althrough space might be an issue. Granted I probably couldn't bring a girl in unless she was into the lifestyle but I'm an antisocial neet so that's not gonna happen either way.

>Can't take a girl to your bang bus.
Girls will like the experience of geeetting banged in a bus,

Biz has gone from what Lambo color to what Trailer. We trailer trash level now?

How the mighty have fallen...

I don't know, I feel like it could be nice, especially with the ability to travel anywhere for as long as I want. I don't think people think it's trashy, especially with the whole instagram #vanlife hashtag. Might even be a source of revenue.

I just have a question for you OP. Did you bought in the shitcoin hype?

I mean I own chainlink but that's for long term

Thank you, as expected.

I like the idea and think anyone who doesn't have kids should do it because you're a huge cuck if you don't have kids and are paying property tax even through rent, since property tax almost entirely funds local education. you're paying for other peoples' kids to go to school if you pay property tax. that's about the only reason I would consider it though, and while it is a big one, I also like being able to take a shit without having to find an open mcdonalds

I mean I saw something like pic related in a lot of van builds. It looks pretty cramped but it would work as a shower and toilet.

Watch a bunch of YouTube videos before you pull the trigger. 2 main problems:
1. No heat/ac (this is the big one)
2. After insurance and van payment still looks like minimum 300/mo
At that price just go live in Thailand with decent internet and ac/heat

Heat/AC was a big reason I was against it but I recently came across this and that kind of got me thinking about if I should actually do it

I would buy a used van and insurance is fairly cheap in my country, vans have especially low insurance.

I live in the UK and do this
I move from city to city working short-term, high paying jobs. With the amount of money I save on ((rent)) and utlities, my NW is growing crazy fucking fast.
Downsides:
>no electricity. Solar is a meme and doesn't provide anywhre near enough power
>shit/shower/shaving all done in public restrooms. I use PureGym
>cold as fuck in winter. Unbearably hot in summer.
>people think you're crazy
>niggers and chavs occasionally try to break into your van. I've had this happen twice

Overall, I would recommend it. It won't be suitable for everybody. You have to lvie a very ascetic, minimalist lifestyle. Ignore the comfy pictures and the #vanlife instagram roasties. You have to be able to tolerate a very low level of personal comfort. The plus side is that allows you to travel, stay wherever you want, and save money quickly.

Pic of your van user? How do you deal with internet?

>no stove
>no fridge
>no shower
>no landline internet

>shower with a toilet
A gym membership can be had for 10 bucks a month, and if its not 24/7, they're usually open from like 5am-11pm on weekdays. A lot have retarded hours for weekends though, only open till 7pm sat and like 4pm sun

buy land and build a small house

its amazing how destitute the jews have made the western world. People can NOT afford homes

>dies living like a homeless lunatic
>muh net worth

lol I can see how solar would be a meme on overcast island, and the lack of toilet/shower sounds awful.
Do you use a PO box or relatives house for post? what about food, camping stoves and electric hot plates?
Keep a small crowbar or tyre iron handy for the break ins lad

Yeah, you can get a tiny house blueprint, the material cost is around 25k not including fancy fixtures and higher quality windows, etc.

The people complaining about not being able to afford a house generally live in a densely populated city and refuse to relocate somewhere cheaper with a higher paying job relative to cost of living in the same field.

puregyms are cheap af and 24hr mostly well done
what van
i'd do it in a heartbeat but the wench wont

Actually all the van builds I saw had a gas stove, a lot of them had a fridge too, albeit a small one. Toilet with shower is possible and a lot of people do it, those who don't have a gym membership
As for internet I think satelite would do just find and if you needed to download a movie, game or watch videos there's plenty of public wifis everywhere.

Literally cannot find any affordable house-sized land for sale where I am

Would you rather have slavery or freedom?

>get one life as a result of random sequence of events for billions of years
>waste it living in a fucking VAN
what do you think idiot

>muh NW
who fucking cares, you will still be poor, just slightly less poor and living in a van

maybe this can help youtube.com/watch?v=cxR3TQDmpYY

Idk about full time, but I want to try it for a year, and road trip to all the national parks

I like minimalist lifestyle stuff and tiny homes, but I'm 6'5" and a big guy, so kitting out the back of a sprinter or building on a trailer isn't really appealing to me.

This is more inline with my tastes
