Sugar is a real bitch. You have to train your body and gut flora to live on less. And you have to train your palate to less of a kids sweet tooth. Trade out refined sugar for natural fruits and berries is a good start. See if you can tolerate substitutes, it depends on the person, but I think stevia or sucralose taste fine. Sucralose gives me a kind of sugar crash if l have much of it though so I take it easy.

Im on keto and I do eat eggs and bacon pretty much everyday. Sometimes I just use cheese in my eggs, sometimes franks red hot, sometimes salsa. I also have broccoli or cauliflower everyday. Some days I also have cheesy chicken with salsa or burger with eggs on top and salsa or hot sauce. Cheeseburger casserole is delicious but I overeat when I make it. Ive got a specific ice cream that I eat several times a week until the 3 grocery stores within 10 miles around me sell out of it, I buy it all. Salmon is also good. Eggs and bacon taste so good to me and are so easy to make that I rather not even make anything else other than broccoli cauliflower or another meat.

I like to do beef roasts and spinach every so often. Also hamburgers with lettuce as buns. Soups are fine, too; I like to use cabbage as an alternative to noodles.

Very true. For me the first two weeks were hell, but then it got super easy. Now I can intermittent fast at will. I skip lunch at work and don't even have any hunger pangs, whereas I used to feel like I would pass out if I skipped lunch.
