making it edition In this thread, I'm going to compile the best passive income streams ordered by investment required, including both online and offline options
Little to no Investment($100-$1k) >Dropshipping >Social Media Marketing >Digital Media or Marketing of any kind >Web Development >Freelance software development >Affiliate Marketing >Making Online Courses
Some Investment Required($1k-10k) >ATMs >POS Systems >Slumlording >Daytrading >P2P Lending >Authoring or Online publishing >Vending Machines >Automated News sites or any kind of automated blog >Automated online Arbitrage with the help of a buybot
Large Investment Required, but still very passive(10k+) >Parking Garages or lots >Laundromats >Batting Cages >Rental Properties >Buying Royalty rights on music, media, etc
I'm sure there are dozens of others that are out there but that's what I can think of off the top of my head. I personally do 6 of these and those 6 are my only streams of income. They are: >an ATM business with 10 machines at $3/transaction $200max >Three affiliate sites >A parking lot near my university(extremely high revenue but also my highest expenses) >Digital Media/Marketing Agency which I have people running so I rarely have to be involved >One rental property(barely profitable yet) And the big kicker >subscription based SaaS products, two of them with a third well on the way
Feel free to add more and share your knowledge, experience, advice with others, but I think that's a lot of value that you won't find in most threads here.
Go to google maps and search around for local businesses once you have list check out their website individually. Check out for errors(due to shitty WordPress designs ): over padding, old design, wrong grammar, etc. all those little quirks write them down. Call the business and tell them you like to talk to the manager/owner about some mistake on their website. and set up a meeting. before the meeting have your shit together. know everything about the business and the value you offer, and make that known in the meeting. that what I've been doing and its deemed successful. Just throw yourself out there, don't be afraid of rejection, there are thousands of business that will appreciate a better digital presence, a few rejection won't kill you
Thomas Baker
chill tf out fag. I was typing my soul out
Colton Thompson
hey, that's great your being productive bro! id love to hear more about it!
Evan Martin

Thinking about studying Biotech/Entrepreneurship masters (I love biotechnology) , or going for a ML online course (I do also love AI and automated data analysis) and learning about entrepreneurship myself. Which would be objectively the best choice to make?
Ryder Murphy
(you)
Chase Roberts
How much money do you want to spend pursuing your business/training?
ML can be studied/practiced cheaply from a computer. Biotech, on the other hand, requires some investment in equipment
Zachary Lee
I need something to do before LINK moons - thanks anons.
Eli Gonzalez
Good thread. Good ideas to do on the side until it's enough to support you.
In the long term (20+ years) I'd like to own a small/medium Pharma business, as well as other sources of income; for now I'm waging to save money to quit in a few years and dedicate my time completely to pursue one of the two paths. In terms of money, with my current job I'm making 48k yearly, and I'm working at a big Pharma company, data-related stuff. So, what do you think fren? Am I being too ambitious/retarded?
Sebastian Gray
wow that great bro, anything you would like to share with other anons, maybe some advice from your experience?
Connor Russell
hope this thread helps you out bud !
Joseph Watson
Hope it helps out, if you ever do any of these please come back to this thread and post your experiences so others can learn from your insight!!
Blake Torres
ill get back to you in a bit user. but its not much you need just knowledge about the certain subject you need , but I'll explain it more in detail when i come back from something
Well, for starters I think my interest in studying comes from being repulsed by the thought of becoming an eternal wageslave. So I am trying to wisely use my money in order to earn income from other sources and set up my owm business. Now, I love both data engineering and drug development, so I am paving my way to success while doing what I enjoy. I really got motivated by reading the 4 Hour Workweek, that book made me question my choices and realize that life can be both enjoyable and profitable at the same time.
Juan Ortiz
Is it a good book? 4-hour-workweek always sounded so clickbaity to me, thought it was trash.
Josiah Foster
Not gonna lie, it is in many parts clickbait, but it motivates you psychologically to follow your dreams. I'm not the kind of guy who takes any book 100% at face value, but I try to profit as much as possible from everything I read. Also watch Dan Peña on youtube, old fucker is a clown but he has some good points.
Camden Gonzalez
Can you tell me more about your saas companies? I have a CS degree and nothing to do with it. also have no idea what kind of shit software brainlets waste their money on these days.
Owen Rogers
> your being productive bro! Well that is the current issue. I did in the last 2-3 weeks stuff I coiuld have done in a day or two. I can't get my ass up to somehow fully commit to it and push through. I have to revert some changes/adapt to it of changes in my life to reach the state of mind had when I was fully working on it.
Maybe you have read it already in some other threads. I want to build a small scale gym for ~5 people max at a time. I will offer personal training session in my own gym and offer my clients also that they can hang out/chill in the gym when I am present.
The gym will have couches/tables, a bookshelf with all kind of self improvement books(kinda biz fit lit book and /sig/ in general). TV/consoles/pc to play. A kitchen unit and refrigator (i can get the licence to sell drinks and easy eatable foods) So not only a place to train but also to socialise and self improvement. It will also a great place for all kind of meetups.
Angel Fisher
user, I've got to tell you that your threads are truly the best thing I've seen here in months. Actual witty business ideas not only discussed but also backed by proven experience. Keep up the good work fren.
I also would like to ask you for some source of knowledge about making money on adds. I've got some simple webdev skills so I am able to create and host some landing pages myself. I actually have some good target groups and ideas about creating clickbaits. Could you give me some advice? First of all I'm wondering what tools are you using to monetize visits on your websites. Do you rely on AdSense only?
Jack Walker
I live in a city with no bitcoin atm (3million people). good idea? -where should i put it -how do you secure it? (maybe location as wel) -what percentage would i ask
Grayson Hughes
what all things do i need to learn to become a blockchain developer? i know a little solidity
Hudson Gray
this structure lends itself more to martial arts gyms than traditional weightlifters; however, good luck, I can see it working. But don't go too small.
check search trends in your area first
Noah Powell
Anyone have experience with perpetual bonds?
Charles Wilson
Since I want to attract more likely the people who start from nothing / are new to this I don't need to go in a special direction gym wise. But it will have the stuff for serious lifters who just want to train in peace. I really can't start bigger since the monthly costs will fuck me up (rent, power, water, insurence ....). Else I need to find many many clients. One good thing is though that I can rent out the space to other personal trainer since nine of ten do not have their own place and equipment.
Robert Rogers
Good initiative this.
I am doing print on demand. It's like dropshipping but the stock never ends. You can print-on-demand anything basically: >printed mugs >posters >art prints >books >usb sticks with data
Easy mode is copyrighted stuff that is not actively guarded. Hard mode is public domain.
Joseph Campbell
Which platform? Redbubble? Etsy?
Hudson Baker
These are great. Thanks for putting this together d u d e.
Eli Nelson
Not doing any of those. I do Ebay and I build my own sites. IE if you just build and build sites, your Gustav Klimt art print will occasionally end up on first page for long tail keywords. And if not Klimt, one of the other thousand pages of artists you have built. All the platforms are good. There is just a finite number of hours in a day.
Thomas Bell
Op from the other entrepreneur thread here, user please make an entrepreneur thread like this everyday, otherwise I will. Biz needs more threads like this
Angel Ramirez
Agreed, there are so many anons with great advice, interesting insights and experiences. I'd love a daily thread like this
Owen Jackson
I’d like to hear more too OP. I’m in the same position. Although I have a few pretty good ideas for a software product I would need a decent team like 4-5 skilled people to get it done in a timely manner
Christian Watson
What equipment do you need to do all of those?
Levi Lopez
fuck I wrote a whole essay and it got deleted fml. I'll write it again for you bro :). ---- so ideally you write something you know a lot about of course. something that is simple yet knowledgeable, for normie and everybody else could learn from it. Their big opportunities for courses or books about programming, I only know cause I'm studying programming and computer science. But you can pick your niche and market towards that. And you can digitally public with a service such as Gumroad or something similar, depending on the direction you want to head too. I only know about the service since this coder chick I follow. and she practically does this as a side gig. she writes her notes about whatever she's interested in learning and then digitizes it and sells it on gumroad for like 4-5 bucks a piece. She has javascript notes that I've been wanting to get for a while cause she really knows her stuff(not dumb bimbo) and uses many visuals which helps out a lot, and the price alone makes it worth it. Her social media presence presents help her out a lot obviously so you would have to garner an audience. but works like that bro. and you make banks on your autistic notes and get your check and gumroad take their portions but handle on the nitty gritty stuff. but obviously this is just her case you might take it another way but this can be a base for you coder chick Instagram(be nice fags): instagram.com/theavocoder/ Her ebooks (in case you want to support her or are interested in programming): gumroad.com/lydiahallie Hope I could help out
Gabriel Martin
that's great bro. yeah wagecucking my whole life motivates me to find ways to make passive income.
Henry Long
Anyone else fix up phones and sell them on eBay?
Daniel Carter
alright to state this clearly. I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL user THAT HAS A PARKING GARAGE OR DEVELOPED SAAS APPLICATION. I'm just posting what he said in a thread he made 2 months back which I enjoyed. If you ask something about his business venture ill post what he had saidoriginally. Im hoping he comes back or sees this thread and helps everybody out like he did last time.
Julian White
that what smart user said" >First SaaS product went live in december of 2015 and did terrible, but it earned me amazing money for my age that nobody I knew was able to do >Used that cash to start digital media agency where I really just did web development >Got extremely tired of prospecting leads myself, so I built software that does it for me >That software is now my highest earning SaaS product and is still my best source of income, which was launched in mid-2017 ""
Xavier Peterson
wow bro that honestly sounds great, I fucking wish they had one of those in Houston sounds already fucking chill. god speed bro. IMO a small scale gym wouldn't be the best option. When I go to the gym I love to see a lot of people since I get inspired or I know I'm not the only one. and since it's a big space also I don't feel crowded and it's not awkward. you probably have it all worked out but that's my input. but dude it sounds amazing also. But I hope you execute this plan of your quick bro, get yourself motivated I don't really what to say to motivate you. but this is a great idea and I have no doubt you'll have better one in the future!
Joseph Miller
I'm specifically looking to go into phytopharmaceuticals (life extension peter thiel tier is a side pipe dream). Right now I'm doing independent consulting (sort of) in the industry, but eventually after I get enough equity from companies I consult for I'll hopefully have enough capital to fund/raise cap for my own business. There are a lot of opportunities in the space for data analysis and AI, pretty basic shit too!
Good luck on your ventures, if you have any info for learning AI online, would greatly appreciate it. The closest thing I'm doing to that is learning to parse long read DNA sequences and identify genetic markers, but really need to hunker down for a few years and get into AI to make it as effective as I want it to be.
William Perez
I really appreciate that bro. I miss the original user that made this but I wanted to help out biz somehow. and not with dumb pnd. so I remembered that one /entg/ long time ago. and I learned so much. first one didn't reach many people but slowly I hope it grows. if you ever see it pls bump so it doesn't archive. and keep on being you, bro! love you user (no homo)
Christian Walker
like the other reply said do your due diligence and research. I pretty sure you can buy insurance for this stuff. but even if they steal it what are they going to do without a private key lmaooo. a lot of regular atm I see take between 3-5 % which I don't think is much it's pretty reasonable. you could make charge a premium for higher withdrawals or something similar.
Isaiah Smith
blockchain is so early still your best bet it to learn solidity for smart contracts. and since this is always changing environments make sure to keep up to date with the newest technology language all that. but get good at solidity and learn the basic of smart contracts and also security which is even more important. especially since smart contracts handle other peoples money. you could start reading GitHub repo with smart contracts the other day I was reading fomo3d Ponzi scheme smart contracts and it's not as complicated as I though I learned from it you could do that as well.
Grayson Lewis
>more to martial arts gyms than traditional weightlifters fucking this broo
Asher Butler
no, I'm sorry can't help you their bro. maybe Investopedia? bitumen I think does perpetual contracts I'm sure its something similar but still idk
Liam Rogers
yeah, the principal cost will fuck you up. yeah, you could market yourself to a personal trainer that seems like the perfect environment, it makes their client feel unique with that one on one training and all equipment available.
Tyler Stewart
but a big gym is a direction you could research some more. I love my local gym cause there a lot of space and it all round great for any training style im in the mood for. fuck gold gyms and planet fitness
Tyler Cooper
Great thread, needs to become a regular thing
Jayden Perry
hey, that's great bro. when did you start? hows business going? any advice for people with a similar idea? any obstacles you're facing at this moment?
Hunter Ward
thanks, d u d e I really appreciate this. I just wanted to give something of value to Jow Forums. hope you can contribute more to it soon!!
Ryder Rivera
Checked
Noah Sullivan
WAIT THE ORIGINAL OP ? LIKE THE ONE WHO PART BUSINESS IN A PARKING GARAGE?!?!?!??!
I really appreciate this bro. If you ever see this thread pls bump. and contribute all you can! i love to hear your knowledge!
Joshua Jones
equipment? could you expand on your question?
Carter Walker
nah . do you do that bro? how do you find cheap parts for your broken phones? arent LCD more expensive than the phone usually?
Juan Watson
that's great bro, I'm happy to hear this! any advice you give other in this field? whats your experience with programming? are you doing any programming now?
Anthony Hill
I'm hopefully doing this every day similar to /smg/ thread. hope you can contribute it, regular bro!! I love to hear your experience
Elijah Hughes
Well dude I got a list of books that I gathered from old Jow Forums and /sci/ threads for the AI essentials, you might want to check on their wikis or if more people are interested I could set up a MEGA link. As for the Pharma side, I'd recommend you to check out immunotherapy for cancer, it's the hot shit right now and all the big guys want a piece of the cake: Drugs targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 receptor-ligand pair are literallly outperforming chemo in most cancer types.
Dude your idea sounds really motivating I hope you get to fulfill your wishes, really cool my fren.
Tyler Ward
Pastebin that list please
Christian Russell
Hey guys how do I get into automated online arbitrage? seems quite easy, but a brainlet when it comes to coding and shit, how does one get started?
Aaron Barnes
Aye, I'm tired of wagecucking already (collegefag) and since I have no debt yet after two years of college so far, I'm thinking of either dropping out or taking a ""break"" from going to college further and needing to go into debt, and instead using some of my crypto earnings to start some kind of other income stream
Logan Smith
brooo I have a question, I see on Reddit every week theirs like a cure to cancer, why don't we hear about them after? is it hidden by big business so they don't lose money or what I've always been confused by that?
Isaiah Lee
learning coding bro. You could go through some program but they would take a percent from you. when you could code one yourself and take all of it. and modify it yourself and adapt it to your own use. you know
Evan Johnson
yeah bro so if you see /entg/ post "bumpity bump"
Jason Campbell
Read the articles carefully. Look for weasel words such as: "may", "could", "might" etc.
Medical/Science journalism is not immune from the clickbait bullshit. .
Hudson Hughes
People still buy broken phones especially iPhones, just order a mass delivery of chink screens and they'll sell it to you for cheap put it on and you can easier add 125 on top.
Nathaniel Kelly
I have about 700 in the bank right now, current paycheck is being processed and I'll get paid an additional 250-300 in two weeks. Are there any reasonable passive income streams that don't have massive maintenance costs? I'd be willing to save for initial costs, but maintenance would cut into my already low income that I'm saving/using for school.
I do a lot of my hobbies on my computer, so online work isn't unreasonable assuming it's not a pyramid scheme.
Nathan Perez
so you're saying that it just repeated articles? cause some reputable news reports it but we never hear back from them? does the government silence them? because what do pharmaceuticals company gain from the cure of cancer? won't they make more money just continuing to do chemo? that what my parents believe at least
Owen Price
true chinks are good for that.
Julian Martinez
>Latch on to a current issue >create a sub movement regarding that issue >sell merch
i.e. MJ legalization Ohio feed the birds Tell people to plant hemp everywhere as protest Buy stickers / posters get free seeds
Daniel King
LIER!!!! USURPER!!!
Real /entg/ OP can be only one and it's . Even his ID says "I'm OP"
Henry Rogers
I'm saying that journalists are hacks who either don't understand the report they're writing about, or worse, do understand and intentionally mislead their readers for clicks/ad revenue.
>because what do pharmaceuticals company gain from the cure of cancer? won't they make more money just continuing to do chemo? that what my parents believe at least I've never believed this conspiracy. The first company to cure various forms of cancer would have a license to print money until a rival company tortures the information out of some high ranking R&D scientist.
Austin Williams
how does one learn coding fast? how long would it take? can I learn it for free or should I do a program on it?
David Richardson
What happens if a 6th person shows up?
>"Sorry jeff, chad isnt done with his kale beet smoothie/reading his fresh dieting books yet, you're going to have to come back tomorrow..."
William Bell
>my parents Are gullible. Sorry. I've had them in my family too. Dead from cancer now. As if those people that suppress the info do not have relatives that die from C too... The conspiracy nuts instead claim that there are groups of "elite" that have access to it, but do not share.
James Mitchell
I imagine its more of a personal trainer type gym. So everything is booked in advance. A common space is where Chad reads
Jeremiah Hall
What said, most of these articles are either: Pure clickbait, or overexaggeration of the drug in question. Modern cancer research is focused on finding the "golden standard" for each type of cancer (i.e. The drug that works better and results in more survival rates and longer lifespan).
However, there is a new paradigm shift since turns out homeopathy isn't 100% bullshit, and some natural-based medicines are getting proven to be effective. This is why I think the phytopharma user above has a solid idea; it's also why most big companies are focusing their eyes and pockets towards organic/natural compounds.
Camden Jenkins
Alright, I'm mobilefagging at work right now but once I reach home I will compile a list classified by topics like I did in my pc. There was also an interesting reading guide on Jow Forums or /sci/ that guided you from basics to advanced books. I could try and do something similar if you like it.
