it's a pretty reasonable guess. XLM is quite likely going to be released on coinbase in the coming days alongside ZRX.

I'm asking who the people are that are saying this though. Did Coinbase accounts get free BCH or ETC?

StellarX is entirely decentralised. No reason for them to get that much XLM.

Of course not, but these are very different coins. XLM has always been airdropped, that's how it's distributed. My first crypto was a 5000 XLM airdrop in 2014.
