this question is for anyone who lives in Australia:
what exchange do you use? would you recommend it?

because i have only used coinjar which is pretty shit tbqh (brokerage not an exchange) and am looking for an alternative.

I use the asx. Any other exchanges, like crypto exchanges, are fucking autistic. You should think about your life choices.

sorry should have made it more specific, i meant cryptocurrency exchanges

BTC Markets

I use IndRes, but only as a fiat onramp. I don't keep anything on the exchange for more than an hour or two.

what's your experience been like with them?

Btcmarkets is good. Independent reserve a bit better.
I find myself using coinspot a lot for instant deposits even though its shit (expensive).

coinjar for a fiat gateway, ive been with them since 2013 and no complaints. fees used to be a lot higher, no more poli support, bpay takes 1-2 days, 2k daily limit. need your normal proof of id
finex/mex/binance for trading

CJ is good if you are approved for over 25-100k daily limit via bpay if you need the limit. But their 7 day fucking reserve bullshit policy is fucking gay, can't remove btc to buy alts on opportunities, otherwise it's inDRes

btw coinjar has an actual exchange now, so no more market orders at their own prices

yeah alright independent reserve looks quite good fee wise, though is there a catch? have you used both?

yep i agree about that with coinjar but i'm looking for something i can sell cryptocurrency with reliably.

oh shit that's good stuff above is now irrelevant - i'll have to check it out.

coinspot. fees used to be hefty. Now its only 0.1% per trade.

wow their website looks bloody fantastic, feelsgoodman

ACX.io

I deposited some AUD last night after business hours bank to bank transfer. It was deposited into my account lunch time. I converted into BTC and withdrew into other accounts. As for withdrawing AUD, it takes 48 hours. I sold 3k worth of BTC so not much and it worked a treat. They have 2FA for login and withdrawing BTC. Best exchange for us.

Its 1% not .1% (used it last night)

kek is "when mainnet" your personal welcome message?

Btcmarkets is the one I use. I like it a lot better than coinjar. I mostly use it as an intermediary between my bank account and binance - everything gets stored on my ledger though. If you ask you can get your limits for deposits / withdrawals raised pretty easily.

Not quite.

But yes. ACX is aligned with hCash and Monash University.

I've used independent reserve.
Works fine, pretty quick with cash deposits and withdrawals. Most of all it's reliable.
Like this user said I mostly use it as an on-ramp/off-ramp for fiat rather than as a trading exchange

thanks guys i'm going to use coinjar exchange, it makes the most sense given i already have a coinjar account (but i didn't realise they launched an exchange)

I use BTCMarkets and I really like it, I use osko deposits and they take like 30min to go through at any time.

coinjar, they have their own exchange now.

>using Australian exchanges
>having 1% (at least) of your position taken as fees. Another 1%+ to sell

LMAO

PROPLE ACTUALLY DO THIS

how else am i meant to trade between fiat and cryptocurrency?

I use coinspot as a fiat onramp for no good reason apart from polipay compatability with my bank which is fucking sweet. I hate the site itself though, really poorly designed.

Im looking for a good aussie exchange.
Things i care about:
Reputable
No kyc
Polipay

>polipay
Polipay voids any zero-liability guarantees because you're giving your banking details to a third party. It'll prolly be fine but if not I hope you don't have much in that account.

Lol people in here paying the Aussie tax using btc markets.

Use Liquid.com guys
