The governmwnt can neither create wealth, nor create jobs. The only thing it could do is redistribute wealth. If it was evenly distributed people would be dismayed to find out how little they actually gained, and in the process of doing so the incentives to create would be largely destroyed. Growth would come to a halt, consumption would continue and we would enter a state of decay with declines in quality of life worse than the conditions initially suffered by those who had cried out for this new system.

We should tax the poor as much as possible, its their own fault they're poor.

*tip*

>Be poor
>No money

How are you gonna extract money out of homeless people?

The obvious answer is to tax the rich by tenfold. This helps the people and also the economy

this has to be bait...
but the equivalent of taxing the rich more is the same as forcing poor people to work longer hours and for less pay.

>How are you gonna extract money out of homeless people?
The same way jews do.
Organ harvesting just this time it will be out in the open.

The rich are not taxed too much in the USA, their effective rate of taxation if you look at their income and what they actually fucking pay in tax is in no way unfair.

If we want a society like the one we have we have to tax the rich a little more, there is no other way. The rich have all the fucking money so they should pay most of the taxes

sorry they hoarded all the money on earth during the last generation but whatevez

>but the equivalent of taxing the rich more is the same as forcing poor people to work longer hours and for less pay.
not really, a poor person only has so many hours of their life to give, it's actually better for society if they don't work 70 hours a week to make an extra $200 and neglect the children they are raising

better to take some faggots 3rd beach house instead

You're implying taxes are even used to provide society benefits. Roads subsidize auto manufacturers instead of public transit, forcing everyone even poor people to spend a shit ton on gas, insurance, maintenance and buying the car. Lets not forget CO2 emissions...but muh nuclear radiation amirite?

No, the sad truth is taxes are there to keep people poor, the FED sets the interest rates and monetary policy outside of Congresses watchful eyes and they continue to rob us blind for (((infrastructure and education))). My God, a teacher making $40,000 a year get hits with 25%...FOR WHAT??? Thats 10k a year that could go into investments for their retirement but no, muh roads, muh education, muh anarchy

>Be Jeff Bezos
>net worth surpassing $150 billion in the 3 decades

At what point does money matter? When you are at that level, it becomes a power complex to control people.

Just tax the rich. They are literally losing nothing and gain it back within minutes.

Or you could just have small government so taxes can be low all around.

For all effects and purposes, employers always get a good portion of the workers productivity therefore its not that immoral to tax them a little higher. Besides if you go for a libtard tactic of flat tax, sooner or later the impoverishment of the middle class is such that demand will also decrease and everyone suffers as a result.

lmao when you are at that level your not paying tax anyway. anyone with over $10 mill is paying like 1-2% in tax. Most people who earn over $2 mill do the same. the people who your really hurting when you increase the (((Tax))) are those that are earning like $150-800k. Any higher than that and people go to offshore banks, shell companies etc.

Jeff Bezos can never gain his hair back.

Bezos is like a comic book villain. I assume he personally thinks he is not a bad guy but I mean come the fuck on. He runs Amazon like it's a video game whose sole point is to make him the richest man on earth. I don't think he even gets anything with that last bit of money, I literally think he just jerks off thinking he's theoretically worth $152 billion vs. 2 months ago at 148.2 billion.

he just wants that number to be big for his epeen

what he does not realizes is if he was worth 10billion dollars and he secured amazon as the best place to work on earth and made sure all his employees had a living wage and healthcare and were not on government food assistance and maybe even had access to education.. he would be seen as a god and his presence would be heralded wherever he went. but he just does not think that way

>Any higher than that and people go to offshore banks, shell companies etc.

They are disappearing. Everything is becoming interconnected. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Reporting_Standard

It's being implemented starting this year. Basically, all banks will automatically send account information to their holders' respective tax authorities every year. The agreement has been signed by Switzerland, Seychelles, Belize etc. Offshores are over. The rich will be forced to move into the capital B blockchain to avoid the nation-states clusterfuck.

>Or you could just have small government so taxes can be low all around.
Yeah thank god Tump and the Republicans are making the government so small.

That's definitely a realistic possibility, I am sure they are about to slash the number of aircraft carriers we operate in half, defund all the boomer's social security since that would go over so well and stop maintaining the roads

because giving the rich a tax break is worth all that, poor bastard are starving

effective tax rate for $40k for 2017 is only 14.35%

We should set a maximum income of $1M/yr, everything else goes to gov't

offshore banks are just one way to hide money user... there are loopholes everywhere. keep in mind its only the people with $2-100 million that even have to use the loopholes.

if you actually think thats going to change youve drank the koolaid. The thing that runs a country is power. And the only, universally agreed way to get power (across all of the world) is through money. So whatever you see, whatever law is passed, you can be sure that the main motivator behind it, is money. This is why only brainlets believe that their "vote" means anything in democracy.

but sure user. Im sure that the "rich" will get taxed more. Im sure bezos is going to be taxed billions per year. and im sure that legislation is going to redistribute all of the wealth.

Then they'll all just leave and you wont get anything.

>Then they'll all just leave and you wont get anything.
(((they))) never leave

>oh a million dollars a year is not good enough for me while i live in a utopia and can literally buy whatever i want and my "job" is marketing software or reselling land or stocks or some other cushy bullshit, I am totally going to move to the paradise of Kenya just to show you!

The rich will always find loopholes to hide their money or pay less tax, just like nerds who can pirate anything when they put enough time into breaking the protection. And like both, if you lower what they have to pay, there will be less of an incentive to find ways around the system. Yeah, there will always be people who will never want to pay but I think you are screwing the economy if you think raising taxes on the rich will help in the long run.

Objectively WRONG. Many members of the aristocracy such as emperors, kings, dukes, counts, barons and etc had estates that produced wealth and these people WERE THE GOVERNMENT. The Roman republic(And later empire) also owned public land that was either used for slave plantation, rented to farmers or in later periods given as a part of the Theme System(Land for service to the state, mainly in warfare instead of money as rent). In fact even now in modernity we got profitable government companies in the Arab world, China, Russia and other countries.

The only reason for this whole myth of "Government can't make money" is so that it won't compete with big business, so that big business could buy such companies for cheap or because democracy is weak(Government workers getting uneeded bonuses or high salaries for no reason).

If a homeless person walks into an ER bleeding everywhere the hospital will usually help him and take a p&l loss. This happens all the time because the homeless are very sickly. Who pays for that? Everyone else when the hospital bill is thousands of dollars for a middle class person with no insurance.

Solution: The Purge
We need it now.

should just remove the unproductive people, then everyone else wins

>should just remove the unproductive people, then everyone else wins
that would crash Jow Forums

No money?
No treatment!
I'd sooner die on the streets than be taken care of with someone else's money.

Daily reminder the top 1% have more money than the combined wealth of the poorer half of the worlds population which is over 3.5 billion people.
A couple thousand people have more money than 3.5 billion.

not fair to tax them any more than you and me

they are just that much more productive as workers than we are

It is worth it.

Commie garbage.

So start a hospital that doesn't take people that can't pay and you'll be able to charge lower prices.

solid bait

>It is worth it.
what is worth it

Take away the incentive of being wealthy from these talented productive people and the 3.5 billion will have even less wealth.

>price services below market rate to capture more market share
Thats ok it was your idea. you can run the Wal-Mart of hospitals

>government needs roads built
>hire people to build roads
>print money and hand out for their labour
???

The "suffering" of the "poor"

Will do. Going to discuss this with my doctor colleagues at dinner tomorrow night.

and yet here you are posting retard tier opinions thanks to government education and government creating the fucking infrastructure for you to say this retarded shit

How about we efficiently use the tax money and then if it is needed raise them

>efficiently use the tax money
By definition impossible due to the coercive nature of its acquisition and undermining of consumer and market wishes.

Let’s stop discriminating against people based on their bank accounts. People are people. Everyone pays 10% consumption tax. If it’s not enough revenue, we stop funding countries who poo in the loo.

>The "suffering" of the "poor"
wat

We need to modernize our military further to help other nations purge too

The goals are prosperity, growth, and continuing development.
What if individuals were just taxed a flat % of their net worth yearly? This creates incentive to spend, protects those with negative net worth, and in no way removes incentive from anyone to do or make less.

The early Romans(Kingdom and republic) had a wealth tax, so your proposition actually was tried and worked.

>What if individuals were just taxed a flat % of their net worth yearly?
rich people would not put up with that and they have all the politicians and fox news in their pocket so they will convince the right demographics that it's not fair and so it wont happen

canada tried in 2016
theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-high-income-earners-paid-46-billion-less-in-taxes-in-2016-despite/

>net worth
so those with more outstanding debt pay less in taxes? great way to create another 2008 mortgage crisis

Well you can't tax someone who doesn't have money, what you wanna do take his food and have him starve ? Because that's how you create criminals and rebels.

! TAXES ARE FOR THE POOR !

faggot the difference is those you cited were inheritable while today's democrashit's roles are not and it fucks up the incentives for healthy growth vs pillaging are fucked up

Just listening to the claims of these jackasses on the internet, created by government grants to scientists

These fucking idiots, spewing their bullshit in a forum made possible by governments and taxation

Good strat desu

a rich person doesnt think twice about 1mm
a poor person only dreams about 1mm

>The 1986 Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act declares that hospitals cannot refuse care to critically ill patients and that the physician on call must treat them.
careful now, you don't want your new hospital breaking any laws

>what are public goods

Are you a brainlet.

Plenty of executives go to hong kong, singapore, etc to save money on tax. My dad always wanted to but my mother refused to move. If you pay 50% on every dollar over 180k, and $10000+ for health insurance in Australia, of course you're going to open a trust, gear, distribute across retired/young family and simply pay no more tax than necessary, and then incorporate and write your own car, travel expenses, etc off. It's a stupid system and by the time I'm 25, I'll be on more than 350K AUD/yr after tax. By 2 years, I'll literally need to move my holdings into a swiss, cayman or HK corporation to reduce my tax bill . When I finish my apprenticeship, I can put my income into dad's proprietary and due to income from multiple sources, we can income split across 7 people and save nearly half a million a year in tax between us both.

Taxes are going up, assets are going up, interest rates in Australia are going to go down in two, max two and a half years time, and we have plenty more up our sleeves to pay literally 0 income tax on what will be 1M+ a year in incomes, capital gains and cashflow.

System was broken and designed to be broken, induce a stock, realestate and bond bubble. That way, the government has control of all capital, and decides how we spend via tax, and where we live via tax, and what we do for work via tax.

>There's nothing to be done to stop tax loopholes. I have too much power so you can't even stop me, don't try.
>drinking koolaid
hmm

>In BCT
>They want a road built
>Were there was empty grass two days ago there's a freshly paved road
>Get out
>Road work has been going on for months

>Should we really tax rich more?
if you can, but pro tip you can't. nobody evades taxes like the rich.

Fucking bingo

Ingrates deserve the rope, they don't even know how good they really have it.

Fuck personal income tax, if corporations paid their fair share we wouldn't have to tax the middle class into the lower class.
But the gov't likes that because it causes more social division.

the nation-state clusterfuck is a danger for the wealthy, which will go for the global neutral asset with the most liquidity (bitcoin)

study jonh nash's ideal money and you may understand why bitcoin will go to $millions

you have no clue the rich don't have to pay taxes you know why? because they figured out how to play the game unlike yourself you just screams out tax the successful because I fucking suck at life

Yes, the whole world economy will revolve around roads. Infinite roads, yes.

Yes.

You fucking retard.

>Arab world, China, Russia
Arab world = Oil
China = copying chinks
Russia = gas

Smh senpai

Income tax is a mistake.

Only rents should be taxed, especially land rents.

The problem isn't taxation, but more how money is created and government policies used to distribute wealth upwards.

>Government needs a product manufactured
>government hires people to make it
>prints money and pays for their labour
???
>government need paperwork done
>hires people to do paperwork
>prints money to pay for their labour
???

Oh yeah these 500millin Chinese that work 15+ hours a day can’t compete with shekelberg junior who inherited his money from his father who in turn inherited from his grandpa, what would we do without his constant Instagram posting.
How can we even compete with trust fund kids or ceos lmao get fucked.

So much this. Basically, the debt that nations have accumulated is just money that was put into the hands of the very wealthy and the taxpayers end up footing the bill.

>once upon a time a large amount of tax revenue came through tariffs
>which the rich business owners could not avoid
>so they came up with this big meme about "totally free markets" to strike tariffs down bit by bit and make up the shortfall with "income tax" that purported to be progressive
>in reality it was much easier for them to skirt and avoid income tax being super rich, and leaving the burden to the middle and upper middle class
>the meme continues today

"Umm, tax me more heh, good goy" - quoth the Buffett and the Bezos with a multitude of offshore accounts and loopholes
