Spain (or Montenegro) looks a lot better to me (weatherwise & tourism) but cheapest prices I'm finding is $40K. Still might be able to swing it. Afraid prices will skyrocket - flats used to be super cheap in Budhapast.

I've looked into this a bit before, sunny beach is the "popular" touristy spot, it's really tacky but is actually populated, looks kinda fun in a retarded way. It's a bit more expensive than the place you showed but not much more.
Bulgaria is cheap but culture is lacking, poorest country in the EU, language is tough and lots of people don't speak english. weather is decent around the black sea though.
If I only semi-make it I'll consider moving there are retiring early.

Depends how close it is to sunny beach. Sunny beach is very crowded in the summer with people who want to party so you can rent it easily and earn your money back quite fast. I wouldn't want to live there though

I was there last summer. That place is stuck int the fucking 90s. As soon as you cross the border from Croatia it is like driving through a dump. Everything seems sketchy as fuck. People are sketchy as fuck and probably all secretly want to stab you for being a NATOcuck.
I parked up outside this restaurant on the coast road near Herceg-Novy and the police parked next to me. Stared at the Croatian plates on my car and shook their head. Came in, sat down and the owner brought them 3 rounds of fucking beers. Then they went back out and drove off.
SKETCHY place. People all seem to want to try and scam you. No one speaks English at all.
