gucci is already the one profiting out of this

>implying that isn't worth $550
when you can learn to properly distress an italian cotton shirt, we can talk. faggot

I really can't fathom why anyone would want one of these, rich or poor.

>wear $550 gucci shirt
>people instantly treat you with respect at cafes/restaurants/etc.
>you can enter every club you want just because you are wearing a gucci shirt and they assume that you are rich/important
>post picture of yourself wearing the gucci shirt on IG and get a shit ton of exposure followers, likes, and comments which boosts your social status

Basement dwellers like you can't fanthom why some people wear these high-end designer clothes like Gucci, OFF-WHITE, Supreme etc. because you never go outside.

Its value is entirely derived from its high price, muh supply and demand fags blown the fuck out

>implying anyone would care what your shirt is.
>is actually advocating spending 550 dollars on a shirt that could be easily faked.
I bet you invested in crypto in December 2017 too.

>buying artificially worn out shirts for hundreds of dollars

1)start a brand and only sell extremely expensive stuff.
2)Market it to teens and young adults. Use twitter, celebrities, insta thots.
3)???
4)Profit.

>implying anyone would care what your shirt is
>can't afford miserable 550 dollars for high-quality tshirt

No one cares about your clothes because you were the same $5 plain white tshirt from walmart to go buy your tendies. Do you think all these people that wear Gucci, OFFWHITE, Supreme, Balenciaga etc. don't know that they are overpriced af? They know they are overpriced af but they are willing to spend that much money on it for the social validation. Since you probably don't have friends like the autist that you are, you don't care about social validation and thats why you were the same $5 sauce-staint white tshirt from walmart.

i do H&M but it still looks like Walmart/Target clothes.

>social validation
100$ this guy a virgin

Bernays applied his talents to selling products once the war was over. In previous decades, customers largely bought new items according to need—purchasing a new shirt once an old one had torn, for example (rather than stuffing their closets with largely unworn items of clothing, as we do today). But Bernays reasoned that unconscious urges for sex and power could be used to sell people products they didn’t strictly need, and that a purchase could reflect the buyer’s personal identity.

lmao

I bet you were that silent kid at school that didn't even get bullied because not even the bullies gave a fuck about you. Just pathetic.

There are quality differences, but in no way a shirt would worth $550.

If you don't plan to wear mall shirts once and then throw out, don't buy them. Most of them are made of low grade synthetic fabric, dye is the most cancerous shit you can imagine.

Go to a tailor, pick your fabric and wear that shit.

One of the best ever made.

someones projecting

Its about the brands you fucking retards.

>picture of you wearing designer clothes = more likes, followers, comments and exposure on IG = more brands will want to work with you = more $$$ you make with shoutouts

Thats why all these retarded IG influencers make $500 for a shoutout that takes 30 seconds to make.

I'd wear it with a jacket

yup. you poorfag tardos jus' don't get it.

frankly, $550 for this shirt is a bargain.

Yep wrote that down. Just allocate %90 of your budget to advertising.but if you are not a teen, you should go to tailor. Just get 1 shirt, thank me later.Mass produced shirts made for everyone, fits to no one.

*shakes shirt above a pool of sharks*
that'll be 1.000.000 lira, testa di cazzo

>Most of them are made of low grade synthetic fabric

Most T-shirts are made from cotton.

H&M and similar or lower grades aren't.

>you should go to tailor

look at this fucking boomer holy shit

>but if you are not a teen, you should go to tailor.

Who goes to the tailor for a fucking T-shirt?

That was the case at least before they started outsourcing everything. The quality of clothing in general has declined a lot over the years. Now they don't even list the fabric info anymore online.

Humans never used to need overpriced clothing for social validation. All me used to wear the same thing: a suit. Maybe some men had better suits than others, but otherwise nobody felt the need to stand out from the group. This way of thinking wasn't great for consumerism, so it has been done away with in favour of today's rampant individualism. Planned obsolescence is now the norm.

I unironically like gucci

They still don't outside of IG models, most normal people would assume you're a douche if you showed up in a gucci shirt.

designer clothing retains its value very well, often times increasing if it's limited release

>high quality t-shirt
>t-shirt
Dude 99% people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that shirt and a $5 cotton tee shirt bought at Walmart with this design printed on it and gold glitter splashed on it. Also Lmao at you getting so worked up cause I insulted overprice garbage shirts.

Gucci = overpriced shit. Prove me wrong.

>IG models
Intergalactic models? Aliens are only impressed with humans who wear Gucci?

Extraterrestrial Zoomers love their brands

Incel or low tier normie spotted, Chad mentality is wearing what you feel like not based in what others think, fucking beta
male

i do banana republic for basics. dont reply to me.

1337
my nigga speakin facts. i get treated so much better now that ive worn designer clothes people come up to me and ask what i do, get let into clubs in Hollywood (although I buy bottle service), and girls are always mirin. it also helps a lot more that you're good looking

Oh my god, you're unironically retarded, and the kind that doesn't even know they are retarded. How the fuck you are going to get social validation from paying $500 for a t-shirt with such awful design? People with taste will only laugh at you, what the hell are you thinking? No one, no matter how rich, will look at that stupid shirt and think you're cool unless they are as autistic as you are. It's clear that money has kept you protected from reality in your own little pathetic world where you think you are better and know more. But it's incredibly easy to identify people like you because you all love to open mouths and say the most idiotic shit.

And yet this never used to be the case. This has been brought about artificially over decades by an advertising industry that has created a culture of consumerism.

The more intense the culture of consumerism, the more people will have experiences such as yours. I'm guessing you're American, people give less of a shit what you wear in Europe.

> he doesn’t wear $1000 shoes with his $550 shirts

Only nigger rappers wear Gucci nowadays.
It's the shittier of the high fashion brands.

And by the way, Gucci should fucking pay me to go around with a tshirt with a so huge logo making them as human advertiser.
If you wear luxurious stuff to show off you're a fucking stupid slave of the society and should consider to kill yourself.

And the rappers don't even pay for it. Their management will organise a stylist that selects their daily outfits which they wear once. Either that or they get a direct sponsorship.

Shit is meant to be worn ironically if that’s even a thing anymore, the majority of Gucci on social media is fake. People unironically prefer the fakes to the authentic garb. Moon when so I can buy a vintage Gucci sweater for ugly Christmas sweater day

Shallow people use brands of clothes to judge people. It's not just a American thing.

more like greatest generation, desu

Ironically that shirt is a sign that the average person wearing it is poor. Real rich people don't feel the need to have social validation

Humans are social creatures and all desire some form of validation. It's just that a Gucci shirt will validate you in some circles and invalidate you in others. You'll either be looked at as someone with great taste, or a fool desperate to stand out who took the expensive bait.

You open up a shitty Teespring selling a shirt that says "I paid $500 and all I got was this shitty t-shirt"

You might actually sell dozens.

You're not paying for the quality of this t-shirt, but for all that was achieved by the company in the past.
