From a technical standpoint, no. Crypto has value as long as people agree it has value.
The reason crypto is viewed as a scam is bc of the illegal activities that can take place in an unregulated market and exchanges like Mt Gox and Bitfinex that counterfeit money to artificially inflate the prices.
Hold your dollars and wait for Tether to get exposed. If the market gets some regulation, it will be a much better place for nonwhales

Monero is uslesss.. privacy coins are used to wash crytpo trades and move to a wallet that cant be traced to you.
The fastest most private coin will always win because you only use it for that one instance and put it back into bitcoin or whatever

No dumbass, section 1247(d) changed the defenition. Money/digital dollars held in your bank (ex :chase,BOA) is now referred to as foerign assets, therefore can now fall under section 111-147 law. AkA can be freezed at anytime.
However this doesn NOT apply to dollars on hand, in a safe , or on personal property.
Therefor can be siezed or frozen for something as little as "why are you withdrawing your money"
This was done to prevent a bank run after the 2008 crisis.

They can do this because the FED is not us based. So congress enacted this law based on that fact and technically are 100% correct in labeling bank money as such because it is barrowed from the FED and NOT printed by US treasury office.
And it was their best move to protect the american economy, just like how wall street closes early if it drobs below a certain trade % per day.
