It is INSANELY hard, for a browser to get ANY market share. Look at Opera which has been around for more than 20 years. Look at other great browsers like Vivaldi and look at their market share (about 0.10% lol). So unless an absolute disaster happens and everybody actively dumps Chrome (because let's be honest, Google will never loosen its deathgrip), and Firefox ceases to exist or fucks up also, oh and all other great browsers also fuck up somehow then maybe and just maybe, Brave might get some real browser market share if they are there at the right time with great features other than "get paid to view ads" which can be added to other browsers with plugins.

All the free BAT earned from being an early adopter now will probably be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars in a year or two. People will be literally leaving thousands of dollars on the table because they wont use chrome without the botnet.

Browser market is a golden example of better products displacing others every few years. It's really turbulent with plenty of options for free via major distribution platforms. For anyone to be saying Brave can't gain traction because someone else holds a larger market share is full blown retarded. Any cursory history... or even a fucking memory of using the internet over the past two decades would objectively show otherwise.

Brave has more than "get paid to view ads" already. It is essentially chromes most downloaded privacy extensions rolled into Brave Shield. (Creator of HTTPS everywhere and Privacy badger is actually now working for Brave funnily enough.) It has TOR tabs built in. As easy as opening an incognito tab.

That said, with the way the privacy laws have gone in EU. And the way USA seems to be feeling, BAT has a good chance of being adopted so that the data mining can still be monetized, just with less profitability. However it will be a 100% increase for the consumer.
