Who else fell for the computer science degree meme?

this is in west virginia where $15 is literally lawyer-tier. I'm just glad shitty out of the way places are starting to get some tech "startups." No they won't pay as much as Frisco Bay, but then you can also rent a 3br house for $200 a month.

Even Mickey D's Janitors make more than that an hour here

Pajeet will do this job because back in India he only got payed $1 a day.

This is in New York City where rent for a 1 bedroom apartment is 2200 dollars a month

no it's not. I literally saw where you got this from on reddit. It's from West Virginia near Huntington.

I have no idea about anything on reddit. I took this picture just minutes ago and I can assure you I am in New york city

What are you even bitching about. Some faggot college kid needed homework help and he lowballed the shit out of it. No self respecting dev is going to work for that except for the pajeets, and even this is too low for them.

>fell for the compsci degree

You probably got a bullshit degree in Info tech, computer animation, or went to a coding bootcamp, not compsci. If you have a compsci degree from a reputable university and can't get a job its literally your own fault. If you're actually proficient and didn't suck your way through school you should have no problem at all.

Go cope on Jow Forums or some shit. But they'll tell you the exact same thing.

>he can't whiteboard fizzbuzz

>coder
literal monkey
>developer
well, there ya go
if you don't have any ideas and can only code what someone asks, you deserve NPC-tier wages

Hire 10-15 pajeet developers, send them out on these jobs, pay them $1-2 per hour, pocket the rest. Easy money.

Lol my friends pull six figures working in SF and didn't even study compsci in college. Just coding bootcamp. Inb4 CoL or degenerate lifestyles- one of them just interviewed to work remotely with SF pay.

Computer science remains one of the best paying fields right now. Seeing one shitty flyer does not change this fact. But by all means don't go into programming: more money for me.

>If you have a compsci degree from a reputable university and can't get a job its literally your own fault
lol, reminds me of my old roommate. He graduated from DigiPen and years later he's literally tech support answering phones and has never held a software engineering job

Just looked up Digipen. Literally ITT tech tier. He deserves it for not getting into a real school.

Source? They hammer you with a ton of math courses. If you take just one additional math class as an elective then you qualify for a math minor. IMO college is useless; I dropped out when I realized that I could learn everything online and got a high paying comfy job without a degree. This leads me to belive that most if not all colleges are scams

I knew a guy like you. He was too smart for the computer engineering program and now he works at subway.

>gg

I know a few guys personally that decided to opt for a boot camp and they all make a decent living engineering
stop being retarded, you obviously don't know what you're talking about

nice
just looked it up as well. Looks tough from the reviews but according to pretty much prepares you for the industry better than all other places if you live in Burger Land

If youre actually an expert, and not LARPing, i may know some people who i can pass your way for lumpsum contracting coding work on the side at your home/wherever for a better rate . If youre legit and not some aspie cunt I can drop a protonmail link for you to fwd me a cv, history and competencies. If youre a larper cuck, theyll see through you in an instant and youre really only wasting your own time.

M.

Except that I do. Those fucks don't even know what a linked list is.

>t.compsci masterrace

Ya I'm sure its better than CMU and MIT

>six figures working in sf

So he works at McDonald's?

you actually went to college, wasting a good chunk of your life and a ton of money on student loans
you could have just learned the essentials yourself like any smart person that isn't a slave to the system. A piece of paper isn't necessary to get a job

lol do freelance coders only get paid by the hour?

judging by my salary I get paid $500 an hour for actual work

>coder
This isn't even a professional job. Certainly not a job for someone with a computer science degree. "Coder" is verbiage used by people who either don't even know what it is, or by people who went to those meme "Coding Boot Camps."
By the way, the job listing says it's for a tutor. Looks like a job for college students.

> finds expert expert coder sir for $15/hr
> learns python and R
