I now own 1 full BTC.
I'm in the 21 millions club.
From 0.07 BTC in September 2017 to 1 BTC now (already locked, not "virtual").
Aske me anything.

what do you believe bitcoin will be in 5 years
how long will this current bear market last
Do you feel the urge to accumulate any more?
If so, how much more will you seek to accumulate?
Impressive, however you need 21 BTC to be a local Rothchild in 5 years.
2100+ for Vladimir Club
You were supposed to fall for his physical bitcoin trolling xDDDDDDDDDDDD
I thought he was talking about he has cashed out of an exchange and owns the keys
Thought the very same thing as in,
"Hey anons, I finally withdrew and am holding 1 physical Bitcoin"
wow, sure played us
I'm very bullish for the next years, but I think it won't go parabolic again until the next halving.
Of course, I hope 1 BTC is just the beginning, I want to multiply it, or accumulate more buying if the price goes lower.
I know, but 0.07 to 1 was a +1300%.
1 to 21 is a +2000%, so if I guess nothing impossible to do.
good on ya, hodl it forever
I have 5 and a half, and I'm so sure (delusional or not) the price will go back to 20k and beyond I'm not really worried about having more, although I do buy a messily amount worth per month since it's soo cheap these days, I feel guilty not too, I'll be able to buy a house with it one day, so in my mind I'm set
did you lock it at 19k?
do you have patience to wait 2-4 more years?
I've held for the past 5 and feel like a faggot not getting out at the 15k+ range
I might sell some soon just to get some nice clothes and accessories
Same. I'm only holding a job to preserve capital. They can't outplay me. I will literally hold 100 years if I have to.
During the five years you have held any Bitcoin at all, did you accumulate more?
No problem to hold for the next years (or better, probably to trade it to increase my stack).
You will feel way dumber if you sell now, close to the bottom to buy fancy stuff, trust me.
I bought from $20 to $250 and then just traded alts from there
made some bitcoin last year and lost a handful this year trading them
I'm just hanging out in bitcoin now studying the moves from bakkt, fidelity, etc. and I'm on the up and up with LN updates and other upgrades to the protocol
you're right I have that feeling too I ought to wait until these new investment vehicles come online and see how that plays out especially after the next halving
That's my plan as well, accumulating up until shortly after the next halvening unless the price jumps past $15k. I traded only a couple alts before realizing they're a waste of time, and stuck to accumulating Bitcoin the past five years with all savings I could muster.
There are periods of hysteria that can last between weeks to a couple months that drive up price to new highs, but the inflation rate seems to act like a wound-up spring that increase the ceiling's range for each moment of hype.
There are a lots of alts that bottomed out or in accumulation, is not a bad idea to park some sats there and sell if the pump.
I've been through all the possible memes, HODL, TA, high caps, low caps, going all-in, diversify in 5+ coins, p&d, Bitmex etc and trading alts is definitely not a waste of time if you buy low and don't affectionate to them.
But even buying low amount of BTC every now and then at this prices is wise if your plan is to hold for the next years.
what's funny is that we're at 6k in a bear market
never would have believe that a few years ago
what's sad is how complicated these protocol upgrades are
I thought lightning would be widespread by now but it's still clunky for some users, it still needs multipath payments, channel rebalancing, watchtowers to become usable for everyone
on top of that I think there needs to be something created that batches the channels are that unexpectedly closed and reopen channels for them all in 1 on chain tx to save them on tx fees or we will get bitcoin micro payments locked in the mainchain
what's good is most bitcoin services are combining transactions to save memory on main chain for withdraws
so I think we're getting there but slowly
What I mean by waste of time is that alts stunted my development as a person and made me become concerned with nonsense and charts that ultimately did not matter rather than developing ability, long-term knowledge, and having good experiences.
Everyone's mileage varies, but alts are clearly a distraction that delay the inevitable while sometimes being profitable and other times not.
That's before even considering taxation on inter-coin trades.
Right? People are legitimately afraid of the price at this point, but it looks like we've bottomed out.
The protocol upgrades may seem kludgey but they absolutely will be smoothed out and improve as time goes on. Each innovation can be used in conjunction with the others, potentiating the features of each individual upgrade.
That there are protocol agnostic opt-in scaling solutions means there will be plenty of room to grow when the next cycle happens.
What coins do you trade, and what type of indicators do you use?
how did you do it?
>alts that bottomed out or in accumulatio
is there a site that tracks alts and shows which ones are bottomed?
As I said I've traded any kind of coins, from high caps to incredibly micro caps, from high to low volume.
Low caps of course have high possibility to grow. If you buy a coin already in the top 50/100 it will be harder to 10x than a low cap coin.
Indicators and tools: Volume, RSI, Stoch RSI, Bollinger Bands and Fibonacci tool
>how did you do it?
Buying low and selling high lol
Buy on red candles, fear and especially when they hit historical lows.
Do you at least hold 1 BCH as well? I'm all in on LINK myself, but if I'm gonna buy Bitcoin, I'd buy Bitcoin Cash since Bitcoin Core is all fucked up with their shitty LN for scaling solution.
Shorted all my BCH from the fork last year for .18 BTC each. It was a good move so far, couldn't imagine actually buying BCH.
No, I don't buy Chink crap.
The only time I traded BCash was during the "flippening" attempt, dumping on those who were selling their BTC for that shit.
Congrats user. Holding shitcoins like a retard has seen me go from 5.2 BTC to 0.3 BTC.
Mixed blessing of holding alts, right?
Learn from your mistakes, so next time remember to lock profits on the way up.
back when bitcoin was 6k a year agoI sold my at the time 4.25~ bcashies when bcash was at 1200ish I think for a good almost full bitcoin, what a good deal
BTC is king fuck all the impostors
Sold this shit for 0.21 last year and actually thought i made a bad deal for a few weeks, haha. Now that's clear BCH won't take over it has no advantages over any other altcoin, in fact the tech is worse than many others. I see no upside besides random pump and dumps.
grats user. I was in your shoes. Started with about .25 and made it up to 1.18 at my height. The greed to accumulate more meant that what I own now is worth about .8.
Did you trade toward it or just bought and held? If you're trading, learn from me and set a stop loss. Don't be an idiot when making a trade thinking you just have to hold.
