Namefag edition Welcome to the general! Openly share business ideas and namefag if you like. We mostly started doing it because there's so many frequent posters. Try not to be too shitty to each other, tough love is welcome Please ignore jew/schizo trolls and don't give them yous. Below is more of a tradition and jumping off point. Please visit previous threads for more ideas. We are all going to make it! Maybe I'll make a pastebin of past threads.
In this thread, I'm going to compile the best passive income streams ordered by investment required, including both online and offline options Little to no Investment($100-$1k) >Dropshipping >Social Media Marketing >Digital Media or Marketing of any kind >Web Development >Freelance software development >Affiliate Marketing >Making Online Courses >Self publishing Ebook(comprehensive guide:kindlepreneur.com/book-marketing-101/) >product arbitrage
Some Investment Required($1k-10k) >ATMs >POS Systems >Slumlording >Daytrading >P2P Lending >Authoring or Online publishing >Vending Machines >Automated News sites or any kind of automated blog >Automated online Arbitrage with the help of a buybot
Large Investment Required, but still very passive(10k+) >Parking Garages or lots >Laundromats >Batting Cages >Rental Properties >Buying Royalty rights on music, media, etc
I'm sure there are dozens of others that are out there but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.
if you have any comprehensive guide. Post them and ill add them here
Feel free to add more and share your knowledge, experience, advice with others, but I think that's a lot of value that you won't find in most threads here. Previous thread:
Will start off with some screenshots. Still got 2 more hours waging so I'll try and keep it going. I'll answer that one tv guys question from previous bread
Until someone more knowledgeable comes along, I can help with questions about simple low/ no cost local service based business (how to acquire initial clients, etc).
Oliver Collins
What methods did you use to get clients? Selling yourself probably isnt easy for autists on here (including me)

I checked the weather with Craigslist first. Ran an ad for a product I hadn't built yet, and based on the responses, decided it was worth actually making a real one for sale. Listed for sale in local town/ county facebook groups and went from there.
Getting over social anxiety is hard as shit. I had it too for years. You have to handle it like cauterizing a wound with a red hot poker. Take a shot of whiskey and commit to action. Through repetition, you develop a social callous and rejection becomes nothing.
Jeremiah Sullivan
Ideas for tvguy in the last thread pic rel. >youtube channel about movie reviews/critiques >youtube channel pointing out "truther" stuff (ie Satanism, mk ultra, symbolism etc) boomers eat that shit up. Make a patreon >make freaky arg that makes your vids go viral >write synopsis/movie reviews for money (unsure about how) >watch movies and write summary for school kids homework >make youtube poops >stream movies for people on twitch and do weird stuff (is it legal? know nothing about twitch) or youtube Sorry a lot of these are yotube, I'm just brainstorming >start a movie/tv quote facebook and sell merch to boomers That's all I got rn
Checked Thanks definitely saved. If I come up with some stuff to sell once I get my 3D printer I'll test out your method. Also great advice, well maybe the drinking part isn't for everybody haha but it can work. I've gotten better with it over time, I just know some anons on here have trouble too. I can do one on one but 3 is a crowd.
Xavier Flores
thank you for keeping this alive. I check weekly for this thread

attempting to start up my own paid traffic/ google ads business soon. Whats the best way to market without having to deal with social media?
Grayson Moore
Here's a shot of my garden shed workshop that I slammed together out of scrapwood after making sure someone would buy what I wanted to sell. Humble beginnings. I miss the excitement now that I can pay the bills.
thanks! but I don't think I will make videos with myself in it.
Isaac White
Hmm not my area of expertise, maybe another user can get this one? I think there was something similar to your question in the last thread All scrapwood, that's pretty resourceful dude. There's people like you out there who could help rebuild if civilization ever collapses. Glad to see you made real success from scratch! Eh whatever works for you dude. You could always do a voiceover haha. If you make at least one video that takes off, you'd have legit passive income from the views, that's why I suggested a weird arg or a youtube poop. Hopefully more ideas will come. Why do you watch so much tv/movies though?
Mason Bennett
Can you tell us more about what you plan to do? Who's the customer, etc? Definitely not my bag, but I may have read something along the way that I can point you towards.
Samuel Cruz
Thanks my dude. Also, you left out the R in entrepreneur again. I'm into it. I think it should become the tradition.
Nicholas Anderson
Why don't you want to market yourself through social media? Running a facebook, twitter, instagram, LinkedIn page, ect. is free.
Make your own website, get some clients. When your clients are happy there's a chance they'll refer you to other people and that's your marketing. Make a nice website.
Levi Smith
Lol it's because it came up automatically since the last thread and I just clicked it. I have to be more detailed haha
Hudson King
In short i am a "sales and marketing expert." I manage their Google or Facebook ads online for a monthly charge. I'm targeting dentists because I've worked with them before. I'm comfortable with the niche.
Social media is only worth it if you can consistently post quality content. I don't have any content too post. Better none than bad
Joshua Smith
I mean of this was like a physical word-of-mouth type biz it's different, but you're doing something online. Like this user said it's easier to reach people that way online. I know a guy who does car detailing through word of mouth and makes great money, mostly because customers tell others about him and give him more business. It's different online. You'd probably have to get clickbank guys to shill your webpage.

My current plan is to call up local business that are doing badly on Google searches and just show them how i can help

Do you help them with organic seo or paid search? This is a subject of interest to me specifically.
I would think, and again this ain't my expertise, the coldcall/ in person visit would score you a lot of points, because your elevator pitch (i hate gay sharktank type terms) is actually a super strong value proposition, assuming your pricing is reasonable, for local businesses that will definitely want to work with someone local vs someone they found via a Google search.
Grayson Robinson
been lurking in all of these threads. I would like to here some thoughts on these ideas, purchasing a vending machine route. I feel a barrier of entry is finding good spots so it maybe worth it to start out by purchasing locations. purchasing a cookie delivery route, the route includes accounts such as walmart, wegmens, target etc (large name accounts) photo-booth business , comes with list of clients along with machine. purchasing a dropshipping website, shopify site. party bus I can get go over in detail the alleged profit, aswell as the cost to purchase all of these. but first the soundness of each of these ideas

BUMPITY BUMP. so what music does /entg/ fags listen to while hustling? i like mac demarco and 70s music pretty much

I've made money online a lot of different ways. Here's a method I've mentioned on here before that a lot of people don't know about: being an influencer. When you think of an influencer, you're probably imagining some hot, bikini-clad instagram model promoting tea or makeup. But there are tons of niche accounts on Instagram that are essentially faceless, as the page is more about the content itself than the person who runs it. For example, an account dedicated to pictures of dogs.
The person running the page could be anybody. People even buy and sell these pages. For a dog page, all your followers would care about is that you post good dog photos. A meme page is another example of this. There's no icon or figurehead posting his/her face all the time. I run an Instagram page in the "spiritual" niche with 30k followers. All I do is post positive quotes and nice images of meditation, crystals, etc. The way to monetize this is that once you build a following, people will constantly reach out to you to advertise on your page. In my niche, it's always online psychics who want to advertise their services. I make them pay me $20 to post an ad on my page for 24 hours.
Some weeks are slow and I only have 2-3 people wanting a post. Other times, I'll be double booked or get booked 9 days in a row. Some months I'll get $20 every single day. I've been making $200-$600 a month from this since January. Pic related. The $100 payment is from a chick who reserved 7 days in a row. It's great passive income. I hardly ever check the page and I post actual non-ad content like once a week, if I even feel like doing that. As the page grows, I can continue to increase my price. I first learned about these Instagram shout outs back when I was dropshipping. I remember paying $50 to post ads on a page with 100k followers. The post was only up for six or so hours, because this person would post 3 people a day. So that's $150 a day just from sitting on your ass posting on Instagram.
While I'm on the subject, technically the psychics I advertise are online entrepreneurs too. They do "psychic readings" via phone or email, after you pay them via PayPal. So they literally get paid to sit around and spout spiritual nonsense to the idiots who believe in it, and don't they even have to leave the house.

Finaly a real business thread instead of all the crypto shit.
I'm currently starting a webshop. Already got the product and the supplier. Just need to make a decision between woocommerce en magento.
I'm studying computer science momentarily so I know my way around. The webshop won't be serving a lot of customers. I expect about 30 max a month.
Which one do you guys recommend?

Do you guys side hustle part time while having a job or do you do it full time? I'm currently a NEET right now because I quit my last job and it feels like I only have the motivation to work on my side stuff when im truely suffering while wagecucking
Ironically enough I've just been top lazy to really work on anything while being a neet

is dropshipping still valuable? I have a good niche market I can tap into making orders from aliexpress directly to the costumer, any tips you can offer me?

Hey Crystal guy! Great to see you back againa! I remember you from many threads ago. I'm very interested in growing my meme instagram page is tarted a few months ago. I post a few images everyday. I'd like to grow it and sell shirts and hats and stuff. An user suggested a good site and a place. Another guy also suggested I get more involved in the particular community/hashtags Any tips on getting more followers? Id greatly appreciate your input. Thanks dude hope you're doing well. If you have cash reselling limited edition shoes is what I do, although you may have to wait a month before it sells so not great immediate return. My other stuff is just helping family and friends. I have a screencap for showhustle if interested.
Oliver Clark
Both. Paid search mostly but i can help with tips on how to get customers to give good reviews. Which is a lot of organic search.
SEO is about how you design your website. Im not doing that.
When I call I keep it very relaxed and genuine and I can. "I know you probably get calls like this all the time but I genuinely believe I can be a valuable asset to your business." I think you would appreciate a 15 minute meeting with me
Tyler Reyes
Vending machines would work well in very high volume places like airports or city main Street type places. Low profit margins though. You might get more money just renting the space. I feel the same about the photo booth.
Shopify site could work if it's self contained and working well before you get it. Depends why they're selling it.
Every party bus business I've seen never lasts long
Alexander Turner
Nice hope it works out for you! Unironically vaporwave and synthwave lol >Cookie delivery More info? >Photobooth I think it's a good idea, they're popular at my wagie job.
Ryder Sullivan
cybresec nice broo how did you get into it?

To add on to this I haven't seen any instant coffee vending machines in hospitals. Only bottled stuff
Camden Cruz
zero interest in it, idea was raised to me from an acquaintance. turned out to be a very lucrative niche
Luke Phillips
The dropshipping business model can definitely still work. I keep up with the e-commerce communities I've been a part of and many people are still doing well. The main thing is to make sure you pick a profitable and unique niche. When I started, I was selling crystal jewelry, and the market just became incredibly saturated. Dozens of clone shops with generic names selling the same aliexpress chakra bracelets. That won't work anymore. These days, you need to build a solid brand. One person that comes to mind sells furniture. Average order value $100+, selling high quality products from a US-based supplier.
Hey there! I'm doing well. Glad to see these threads starting to pop up again. The number one thing that helps me grow my pages is community involvement. By that, I mean following and liking accounts related to certain hashtags. They'll in turn check out your page and hopefully follow/like. You can do this manually all day, but I use a bot called FollowLiker. I have it set to follow 400~ accounts and like 1200~ posts per day. You can only follow 7500 accounts total, so whenever I reach that limit, I pause following and set the bot to unfollow for a while. Then start the process again. You never have to disable likes though, so even when your account is unfollowing people, you still get new followers just from thousands of likes you're sending out. And people don't ever really notice that you unfollowed them.
This trick has helped me grow multiple pages to 10k+. My spiritual account was 10k or so around January if I remember correctly, and now it's at 28k. If I posted more often, it'd probably grow even faster.
Juan Allen
I'm using a similar bot I found for free on GitHub. What's the Instagram ban limit for follow and likes? I'm nervous about it
John Perry
Awesome info thanks so much I really appreciate it. Glad to see you back and posting. I will maybe look into the bot stuff but for now I'll focus on being involved in my specific hashtags and leaving personal comments. Saved for future reference. I'd also like to know as well.

HI FRENS i have a business idea please tell me if its legit or not. So the other day my mom (yes i live in her basement) came home with 4 of pic related. its called wooden breakfast tray and its much comfier than regular plates, not to mention aesthetics. Mom told me they were more than 15 bucks a piece at my local IKEA (cheapest it gets i assume). Our actual basement is full of wood logs which i could cut up and make thousands of these then sell them online or whatever. Is it an idea worth investing my NEET freetime in, or i shud stay at watching meme charts &animu all day long
Ayy welcome dude. Wow that plate looks super comfy and mezmerizing. You're a neet with nothing but time so use YouTube my dude, figure out how to make these plates and you could probably sell them to hippies/vegans/survivalists/outdoorsy people etc. You could even go to a local farmers market and sell them. Maybe you'd need to get a specific finish or something to coat them with idk but it's definitely a cool novelty and it looks aesthetically pleasing almost like art. You could even dye them different colors. Maybe make deals with shops/restaurants. I feel like there are tons of ways to sell these. Even etsy to be simple about it. You have time and are neet you literally have nothing to lose, especially if you have all the free wood. Even using hand tools to cut you could get big arms. If you decide to do it, I'll but one off you my man. Hope this gave you some ideas.
Zachary Scott
The parameters I mentioned earlier are pretty solid. Don't like more than 1200 posts per day, and don't follow more than 400 accounts per day. I've had this bot running on 5 different accounts for over a year now without problems. Some bots can also leave comments, but I find that to be spammy and makes your brand look bad. Especially when there's a post about something tragic like death or cancer, and then the bot finds it and leaves a generic comment like, "Awesome photo! :)".
Good luck out there. I'll check back on this thread later.
Jayden Perez
Can you recommend me a trusted download to that tool?
Samuel Davis
thanks for the redpills, dear bionic handfag, i think ill get creative tomorrow.

I really approve of this thread. This and the nootropics thread some time ago reminded me of an older, better biz.
Woocommerce runs as a Wordpress plugin and from my experience it's a real hassle updating 34 plugins to run a normally functioning webshop.
Magento lacks some customizability from the last time I checked it (about 2 years ago and about to accept a small job using it) but it's much more easily workable and less prone to issues like plugin versions not being compatible.
Adrian Sanders
Checked No problemo dude, I can't wait to see what you come up with. You could also like do wood burning on your plates. Like burn designs or logos. My grandma used to use big slabs of wood, Woodburn poems in cursive, add a picture and make it a clock. It looked really cool. My mom and dad had one with their wedding photo. Oooh thanks for this, not the same user but I was going to use woocommerce with WordPress to try and make a shop. The last user referred woocommerce, but I'll look into magneto.

I definitely need to work on the Google paid myself. My venue specific ads are killing it, with one set doing as high as 3000% roi, but my Google is hurting a bit. Getting 3.5 or so position and 1% through .51%ctr on my keywords. Still making money, but I'd at least like to be getting industry standard ctr's.
I'm thinking of opening a webshop as well but have zero experience. Do you have any links that would be helpful?
Kayden Gonzalez
thanks the insta coffee machine is a good idea. and thanks for the advice on the party bus. It also seems like high maintenance. id have to go over the records of the company in question more thoroughly and ask questions.
Henry Martin
cookie delivery similar to bread delivery, but less hours a week doing the deliveries. you would buy a route and receive 20% of gross profits from the cookies sold at stores. cookies like voortmens and such. how are photobooths popular? advertising would be the trick. allegedly they have been in business for 3 years and have a list of clients. but it depends on how recurring these clients are
Joseph Allen
So I've been thinking of baking cookies and then selling them on various college campi. Not really lucrative but I have the free time and I'm really in the mood to bake some cookies for no particular reason. Should I ask the colleges permission first or just do it until I run out or (((they))) kick me out?
Nicholas Gomez
Also I've been reading lately about how companies sell covered options as a small source of income. I know that's not particularly /entg/ related but /smg/ doesn't really talk about options either. Anyone consider it or done it before?
Chase Collins
Depends on your technical skill level. If you don't have any just use something like Shopify or Lightspeed. You choose a theme and then just manage your shop through a graphical interface like your Facebook page. Organic traffic is not enough you will have to experiment with Google or Facebook ads. And of course your SEO should be top notch.

I'm in the Amazon self-publishing biz, since around the cusp of KU 2.0.
What's attractive is the low barrier of entry. As long as you have a computer, you can start getting into the market. But even if technically you can self-publish for $0, you'd want to invest in covers, editors, and of course marketing.
However, research is a much, since you'll make the best money by finding a profitable niche (so all in all not unlike any other traditional businesses)
Starting can be a pain, but each release tends to be more and more profitable (a rising tide floats all boats). Again, though, this is reliant on your particular niche. Some have low ceilings, while some have high ceilings but also high floors I. E. Romance
If people have any questions feel free.

Growing is legalized in many jurisdictions now but most people do not want to have a separate grow-space for clones. Sell rooted clones, guaranteed females and free from disease, to individuals and grow-ops.
>How do you clone? >How long can you store dry herb for?
Anthony Martin
I have a recipe for monster cookies but I'm headed to work. You should look up a recipe they're pretty good. I use peanut m&ms, oats, chocolate chips, I can't remember what else but I made them for some people as a gift and they loved them. I suggested to another user that Christmas was coming up so they could sell bark on campus. All you need is choclate, pretzels, and candy canes crushes up. Wrap them up nice and people could buy them and give them as gifts. Alternatively you could make Halloween stuff too.
Jayden Harris
Well I work in a popular not dead yet mall here in LA so the zoomers and stacies use them. They're near the food court. There is also one machine that is a mini photo machine that let's you print your pics directly from facebook,Twitter, or instagram that people use a lot. It charges 2 dollars.
Caleb Richardson
Hey there thanks for stopping by. Trying to get into writing a few ebooks. I have 2 recipe books and 1 weightless book to write. Are these in a niche that is too saturated? I would want to charge maybe 99 cents to 1.99. Also I looked up some free ebook software but what would you recommend? Thanks
Kevin Myers
As far as I remember. you cut off a small node from a known female that is not in a flowering state (more than 12hrs of light a day). You dip it in a rooting gel (basically some vitamins and minerals). You put it in oxygen rich water until small roots start showing. You put it in a jiffy cube (growcube) and wait a couple more days until properly rooted as in the pic above.
You put routine in this so you know that you will have X amount of clones every Y days. If large customers want larger amounts, they can pre-order so you can snip off more nodes in advance.
In the "old days" (90s) you could actually buy full plants in The Netherlands. Like 30-40cm high. Just put them in less than 12hrs of light and they will start blooming. You'd have weed in 9-10 weeks.
>dry herb that is irrelevant for this business idea
Lucas Lewis
Thanks user very informative I just formatted my questions like a newfag. I was actually asking how long you can store dried herb before it goes "bad".
Jordan Rogers
>how long you can store dried herb Funnily enough it seems like the major degradation takes place during the first year. IE, you can smoke it and sell it for years according to this chart.
My pleasure. Mind you: there are optimum storage conditions. Those would be dry, dark and fairly cold (14-16 centigrade I think). Put your weed in 30 degrees and you'll probably lose all THC in a year.
Asher Thompson
You still have to actually put in the work to make them successful tho my dude.
Anthony Miller
Let us know if you need some help executing them! That's what we're here for.
Kayden Watson
I'm not quite sure what is a weightless book... Are you talking perhaps of an ebook?
I won't claim to have a lot of knowledge in the recipe book niche. But I find that most non fiction books are successful if you have already established authority. For example, an Italian chef for 20 years, or you run a successful cheap recipes blog.
I would suggest against pricing at 1.99 (as it's an unusual price) and only use 0.99 for promotional pricing. Remember that at 0.99 you only earn 35%, but at 2.99 (the unofficial standard ebook price), you get 70% of the purchase price. You'll learn more about pricing when researching the Amazon market.
I write all my books in Libre office. The only thing you *might* need is Calibre for epub conversion, because desu the most accessible word processor handy for you will be sufficient. Again, I'm afraid I'm not knowledgeable enough on books with a lot of color like a recipe book, so I'm not sure how you'll upload that to Amazon. However, I would reckon there are a ton of guides online to assist you.
Remember, this is a very Jow Forums way of looking at it. If you just want to upload for the opportunity to say you have a book on Amazon, then feel free to ignore pricing and marketing stuff. They aren't needed much if that is your goal.
Jose Hughes
That’s a good idea, I live in nj though but there is a very large and affluent mall near me. I need to check if / how many/ where they might be located. Those also seem to be a little cheaper than th wine I was looking at. Which is more event photo booth. I guess it would depend on client list to start off that they are offering. I feel you can make more through that but it also requires more work and less passive.
Angel Barnes
Hey, so I'm trying to get funding for a crypto-mining and staking business, I managed to pull some strings and I'm probably gonna get founded, my issue here is the business plan, did anyone manage to pull something like this off and what should I look out for in the report?
Jacob Thompson
Thanks for your reply. I know nothing about ebooks, but I'm doing light research on my downtime. Weight loss book is basically really simple stuff I've learned from fit, and have successfully lost like 45 pounds. Just outlining like simple stuff calculating TDEE, intermittent fasting, CiCo. Basic info for people beginning their weight loss journey. The recipe books are mostly for cheap college kids on a budget. And an Amish recipe book too. Not trying to make it into somethin big, just a little passive income. Ill look into calibre and Libra office thanks.
Jacob Fisher
I would say event photo booths are good if the mall location is near a highschool but yeah the smaller ones that print social media pics would be a good idea I think. Contrary to what some believe there are thriving malls, especially in higher income cities. And If Armenians live there haha. Asians are also huge consumers, especially of clothing.
