>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
keep selling amd shares, mongs. Imma keep buying and laughing ya nigger in a decade
Andrew Rogers
Default is micro or macroeconomics?
Ayden Walker
HOLD
imagine how good it will feel getting consistent double digit percentage gains and all the bears getting angry telling us its going to crash tomorrow every single day.
remember that? the golden bull? it will return friends.
Benjamin Walker
boomers actually using a mobile phone to listen to this?
>pipe bombs get mailed to left wing "heroes" precisely at the perfect time where its not too late to not affect the midterm elections but not too early to be forgotten by the midterm elections >stock market suspiciously crashes right as midterms coming and Republicans are in control
Already sold out of TSLA on the hype, but I honestly hope the news is even better. Ave, true to Elon
Lincoln Perry
Tesla bears? Anyone, anyone...?
Ian Baker
jews at fed tryna fix the economy and in doing so fuckin up life for all teh bulls, combined with trumps trade war, combined with crappy timing on Q3 earnings for tech companies combined with upcoming elections
its just one bad news after the next october can suck my fucking cock dick fuck
The thing isn't even overhyped. Any other stock that performed a 1366% earnings beat (as TSLA just did) would've 3xed, instead we "only" get a 12% spike.
Compare this to NFLX which beat by 10% and rose by 12%. The good earnings were kinda priced in after the shorts' U-turn yesterday. What bothers me about this earnings call is that they waste time advertising the Model 3.
Hunter Ross
Damn I wish I worked in tesla on AI I really need to go back and get my PhD in it. I'm fairly competent but a PhD is a gate for the good jobs.
Christopher Rogers
No you idiot
Carter Brooks
HODL and never sell. As long as you’re buying real companies, don’t fret. When in doubt VOO and VGLT it out.
Colton Mitchell
Well musk recruited the best talent at open AI hand picked for tesla. Got some all-stars through that pipeline.
Joshua Cook
> a PhD is a gate for the good jobs
I've heard PhDs get screwed over because nobody wants to hire such a qualified academic.
Luis Myers
>he thinks some Jow Forumstard wouldn't actually do it they've all been shilled as part of some mega global conspiracy on Jow Forums for nearly a decade and you're now shocked someone actually took it to the conclusion to kill them? >crashes even if it actually crashes this, and a recession in general, have been in the offing for several years now. though actually repubs should hope it crashes now and the economic slowdown doesn't hit in 2019/20
Christopher Russell
AI from stanford/top talent get insane recruitment. There are probably people working full time to poach tesla/open AI talent.
Adrian Brown
> tfw put my whole 401k in cash Monday
Bears aren't done yet Senpai.
The rest of October belongs to the bears.
Then maybe we'll see and end of the year bounce....maybe.
I predict a 1-2% bounce day in the next week or two in which the bulltards thump their chests and proclaim the bear market is over, followed by one or two more 3-4% down days.
Screencap this.
Asher Hill
Yes. Earnings today were mostly good. Earnings for the rest of the week should be consistent with today's and yesterday's. Market being out of sync with the numbers companies are actually reporting is prime buying time.
Easton Ward
ML often seems to want them for very high level positions I've noticed. Maybe I'm just bad at resumes/interviewing. Yeah, it could be that I'm just too early career in general/not smart enough (I know it's the latter).
Ryder Anderson
depends on the industry,
if youve got a PHD in economics, pretty much sure fire job at a bank or governmental organisation.
if youve got a PHD in engineering ... well not so much

just so people know, Karpathy the head of AI at Tesla beat Googlenet in image recognition
see: 2014 competition Based on the sample of images I worked on, the GoogLeNet classification error turned out to be 6.8% (the error on the full test set of 100,000 images is 6.7%). My own error in the end turned out to be 5.1%, approximately 1.7% better. If you crunch through the statistical significance calculations (i.e. comparing the two proportions with a Z-test) under the null hypothesis of them being equal, you get a one-sided p-value of 0.022. In other words, the result is statistically significant based on a relatively commonly used threshold of 0.05. Lastly, I found the experience to be quite educational: After seeing so many images, issues, and ConvNet predictions you start to develop a really good model of the failure modes.

or its a buying opportunity of a lifetime, it shoots back up past jupiter, and bears get raped.

Hey anons. How do I know if I've been banned from chatting in the robinhood coin chats?

Someone told me to buy the dip 2 weeks ago fuckwad and its off another 4%. This isnt the bottom. Buy after the election and dont sell a fucking thing until it stabilizes again.
Benjamin Murphy
>getting raped on taxes to save your portfolio going down another 5% before going back up another 25%
good job
Ayden Baker
Does the timing not mean anything to you?
Jonathan Lopez
This should be a Markets General. Why the limitation to stocks?
> shoots back up > fed draining 600 billion of liquidity from the market > Institutional money has already left the market > Retail investors are the bag holders now
>oh shit i better make my folder look more impressive for Jow Forums
Justin Green
Nah, >18 years old here. Was just meant to be an inspiration/suggestion of valuable input.
Dominic Gonzalez
the stock market crashing isn't going to affect the midterms in the way a recession would. It might switch some boomers seething over their wrecked 401k but that's it if I were actually trying to false flag you'd want to have this bomb shit next week, which would be maximum influence and ensure it wouldn't have dissipated by the election.
David Kelly
>if I were actually trying to false flag you'd want to have this bomb shit next week, which would be maximum influence and ensure it wouldn't have dissipated by the election. expect some major shit to happen next week then.
I have no sympathy for all the FAANG fags saying their companies are indestructible when I said I was moving my portfolio to commodities. Fuck all of you guys, I told you guys to get out of FAANG and to buy BUD and OIL and defense stocks. You guys laughed at me. Now we will see who deserves to win and who deserves to get justed
