The browser's functionality is entirely designed to attract users so that they have a lot of opted in users to increase their ad coverage for advertisers. The "you get paid for ads" is just bait for users to become their product. What are you going to get? Pennies? Why would anyone do that instead of just opt out and not see annoying ass ads? I actually like the idea of not being advertised to without my explicit permission, personally I think that ads are an invasion of my attention and mind. Google builds profiles of you for advertising purposes. They use cookies and trackers and store this information. This information can be viewed by humans.
With Brave and AdGraph this can't happen anymore. Your information will still be tracked for the benefit of advertisers but now the information is permanently hidden through zero-knowledge proofs.
That's the beauty of it. Not to mention that this is what law like GDPR encourages.

The value of the token is decided by supply and demand.
