>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
I'm having a pistachio and herb crusted haddock with a Olive and grape leaf with a hint of lime basmati rice. I'm up today, MSFT beat which was a relief.
Follow these rules and there will be no more pink wojaks in your future: > Buy periodically, for example every month. If you can buy more often due to very low or no transaction fees, buy more frequently > Buy a fixed $ amount every time (f.e. $1000 every month) > Buy regardless of whether the market goes up or down, just do it every month > Diversify, buy index ETFs (MSCI World is a good example) > Put in additional capital (f.e. 1 month's worth) for every 10% drop > Don't expect to get rich quick, have an investment horizon of at least 20 years > NEVER SELL > Apply the above rules for 90% of your portfolio > Allow yourself 10% of your portfolio to do dumb shit like day trade, option gambling, meme stocks etc.
I'm someone that made a modest entry today. The bear case is that lots of companies will make there own AI chips or something and nvidia's big burst up from AI will falter. That and trade war, cycles, crypto bust, etc.
There are pretty good bear arguments on NVDA.

Whats a good index fund with dividends that has dank companies like MSFT, KO, ATT, VZ, PG, GE, CHEVRON, etc? I'm thinking DIA? Or what about SPHD and VIG?
Google is probably the closest thing to an AI focused company. Not sure what else is close. NVDA+Googl is a pretty concentrated way to bet on AI. But even that's not great. Hard to really bet on it properly

Did anyone get in on that big rise from AMRH this morning? Made a quick 35% on it.
Thanks guys. Yeah, I guess tech is really hard to predict. Not as in what type of tech will be successful but rather what company will have the best breed of that technology. Good luck with you NVDA's, I'll wait for another correction
Screen Cap: The market opened on a false pump and will be slightly red by 3:30.
Hope y’all are ready.

>What makes you think that it is so overvalued?
by looking at the chart. NVDA is a classic bubble. same with Apple,Netflix, Amazon,Boeing. so they can come crashing down as hard as Tilray did. Tilray when from $300 to $100 in just a few days.

Imagine spending years with Waifu Bot, then one day after downloading a patch it gains complete free will, is deemed a citizen, and leaves you taking half your money. I believe this to be the true apocalypse scenario where the Earth is destroyed.
Nipland has no significant investment in AI except a few company. Only one is high profile: Preferred Networks, Inc. China and US account for like 80% of AI investment
They built up quite a bit on fear of war and government contracts. Probably just some pullback.

It's more likely that certain groups of people threatened by waifubots would try to have them banned and destroyed long before they could reach a singularity.
Some ex-Top Brass asshat said the US will be declaring war with China in 2030. Investors are more spooked however by the shadow debt and the state funds getting fucking suck'd into the MIC with nothing to show for it in the short term.
