Large Investment Required, but still very passive(10k+) >Parking Garages or lots >Laundromats >Batting Cages >Rental Properties >Buying Royalty rights on music, media, etc
I'm sure there are dozens of others that are out there but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.
if you have any comprehensive guide. Post them and ill add them here
Feel free to add more and share your knowledge, experience, advice with others, but I think that's a lot of value that you won't find in most threads here. Previous thread:

I still think print-on-demand should be added to the sticky on top. It is not really covered by dropshipping.
Jonathan Cox
If memory serves, most of the artists and such over on etsy (I do a lot of business there) use printful to produce their shit on to order.
Also, bump.
Carter Cook
It's not passive, but somewhat relevant. Starting a solo law firm this month and ditching biglaw. Only have about 20k handy so it's do or die
Blake Howard
Yeah, printful are good. There are hundreds of providers though. Gonna put a list here sometime.

FRICK FUTURES ARE DOWN
David Harris
Good luck hope you make it
To the edm guy in the last thread: I am guessing the best thing for you to do is go to a bunch of these events and network with people like crazy and do collabs. I am not familiar with music stuff but word of mouth and social media seem to be your best bet.
This week is trash im happy I have the weekend off. Hope you guys are doing well
Connor Hernandez
That'd be great! I'm going to try printful but it would be nice to have options besides the usual redbubble, society6, etc

Bump we are almost at the bottoming the catalouge!
anybody here want to fund and publish my game in exchange for revenue share?
Levi Reed
Can’t you do it for free on steam ? Enlighten me on publishing a game user
Andrew Diaz
How close are you to finished? How many can you realistically sell when it's done? What's your distribution strategy? Has your audience already shown interest in buying the finished product?
Michael Anderson
The fist thing that comes to mind is don't rent an office space until you have the cash flow for it. If you can rent spaces for meetings or do them over Webcam as a virtual/on demand lawyer or something that would be better. I see so many businesses go under just by paying rents. Best of luck sir!
Josiah Jones
Yeah more info pls. What is it? Whats it about? All that.
Lincoln Walker
To add onto this there are places that offer temp office space. There is a small place in my town I pass by everyday. They basically let you have meetings, use their computers, have virtual mail services. Not sure how much it is but you should look for something similar.
Noah Rodriguez
ATMs sound fun. Anyone have any experience?

Read this book user b4 you make some big mistakes...
>be me >21 years old german >employed, dont want to give up, make around 3k/month brotto equals 1.8k netto. >have 30k Euros just lying around on my bank account
so /entg/ what can i do with it? i dont need to make much money just around 500 euros/month would be enough as a side business.
i dont want to do something risky and loose all my money, that would be shit.
tried dropshipping, but those ads cost way to much to make it rewarding
any ideas ?

generally a publisher can offer multiple things:
experience in the market (like saying you should add multiplayer to your game, because games that have multiplayer tend to have more hours played)
funding, the publisher takes on the risk of the development in exchange for the majority of the revenue
PR and marketing, being responsible for getting influencers to play your game (youtubers, twitch streamers, games journalists etc) and getting the game on different platforms.
a publisher isn't required to do all things, you have certain indie publishers who don't do funding but do marketing for a percentage of revenue.
A few months to half a year i reckon. Depending on how polished the would be. Other games like it has sold everything between 5000 copies to 60 000, but in todays oversaturated market its hard to say how many will sell, hence why i want a publisher who is willing to take on the risk.
Its a FPS Horde brawler, you play a robot who beats up millions of other robots, and your health also happens to be your stamina bar so you need to manage your attacks and health. You can charge up at any time by shooting your charger cable at sockets (on both walls and other robots). Pic related, old prototype from a game jam.
Also worth mentioning, if becoming a game publisher seems like a fun side business, go on /vg/ and search the catalogue for agdg, its a game development general. Asking questions there might get you the information you need.

Don't plan on it. Home office with a meeting area, conference room, and mail drop at my disposal at a friendly nearby firm I previously did work for. Google voice for office phone.
Will read, thank you.
Hudson Diaz
Sounds good!
>mail drop at friendly firm
I wouldn't trust this because nobody is your friend in business. They could easily steal your clients by going through your mail. Just rent a mailbox. They are less than $100/yr.
Nathaniel Wilson
Sweet I wish you luck with your game. I like robots but I have less than 10k I'm savings so I dont think it's be much help. I also like scary games more too perosnally.

Not too bad. Got 5 days to hit my sales quota this month and 5 prospects circling the hook. Would like someone to pull the trigger today, but it's all good.
How bout you broseph?
I'll add this to the list. Description looks like what I need.
Hudson Mitchell
Oof tough past couple a days but hanging in there. I have off weekends so I'm going to start working hard on these side projects. How about you?

How much would you pay for a drone that can -fold up and fit into a backpack, yet unfold and be ready for flight in 10 seconds -take off and land vertically, and also hover during flight -fly for 4-6 hours with a maximum range of 150 miles ?
You can easily do market research. Compare completed listings on Ebay.de (one of the most active online markets on the planet). Compare with prices on Alibaba and Aliexpress. Do an estimate on how much you would have to pay in customs duties and tax and freight. Make a formula so you can easily figure out if products have a profit margin for you or not.
Never buy too many products of one kind. A portfolio of products is good to reduce risks.
You do not need to put the full 30K "on the line". You can start with 2-3K. Now your effort and your "free time" is what can move this stuff. Get good photos, build good listings. Put that stuff up on Ebay. Worst case, provided you have made no other mistakes, you will at least get your money back. Best case: you make a profit. If you make a profit: scale it up and repeat.
Nathan Evans
I know nothing about drones. But a foldable drone sounds pretty great and I bet people would pay a lot if there aren't any others like it on the market. Are there foldable drones already? What are other drones going for that have similar characteristics?
Grayson Cook
Adding in to what is saying you can try reselling limited edition shoes like I did. I can post my screenshot from another thread. I made like 100 bucks off each pair I bought for 80 bucks.
glad to hear you guys are working your things out! im just trying to work on my first SAAS product but its such a pain in the ass to get api to work and to web scrape.

OoO I'm intrigued could you expand on your idea

Starting an online affiliate business with a friend. Planning on using Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest to market our site. Any advice?

It's a fixed wing aircraft that takes off and lands vertically. It has a pretty unconventional configuration that makes it very aerodynamically efficient.
Owen Sanders
No you sell on ebay. You can either find them in online stores for a cheaper price or you visit a physical location. I bought 2 pairs of anime shoes from skechers for around 90 bucks each and sold on eBay for 189.99 plus they paid 20 dollars shipping. Yeezys and rapper shoes won't get you as much as limited edition collabs. Some are hit or miss. You have to buy them and sell with 3 weeks usually because the hype is at its peak. Things released in Korea or japan can go for a lot. Hello kitty converse were selling for 100 bucks from online stores but 297 to 360 on ebay. Specific colors and patterns as well as sizes will determine if they sell. That's why the eBay filter is really handy.
Grayson Collins
It me sorry I am bad at switching in my trip

Build up a following before you start pushing for your products? Also, find whatever automation tools are still available for these platforms. Go check blackhatworld dot com

This guy is right, I tried the yeezy flip but it was a flop. Bought two pairs when they were released with the hopes there would be massive interest. It goes shoe by shoe. Some models just aren't sought after.
Jeremiah Garcia
Yeah I mean if you look at Hypebeast every rapper and black dude releases a shoe every 2 weeks. Niche stuff does well. I grabbed One Piece d'lites. Looked it up on my phone a few months ago passing a skechers and saw that they were consistently selling over 100bucks what they're worth. In store the pink ones were selling out, but online the red ones were selling better and for more money. Artist collabs, fashion collabs, and Japanese and Korean animu stuff sells really well. This took like 2 hours of research and a lot of scrolling on hypebeast. Of course you can make a wrong purchase but you can sell back to the store or auction at your origin buying price. If it works for you and you have the extra cash in hand just dip your toe in. Buy from a brick and mortar so you have a receipt. Take back in a month for a full refund if they don't sell. Just don't wear them.

are you planning this to be a consumer-friendly drone, or solely commercial? already sounds expensive

I've got 600k in the bank from inheritance. What should I do with it?
Grayson Long
Invest half and use the rest to follow your dreams
Nathaniel Lopez
Buy $60k of gold 10% and put it in a private vault internationally. Keep the rest in high yield checking accounts. There are a lot that are paying over 3% right now. Wait until the market crashes and then buy stocks and real estate for cheap.

Anyone read fast lane forum?
They had another topic about wantrepreneurs and mental masturbating we do. Thought it was interesting. Anyway, they ended up saying that we need to start at step one of course. Can anyone share what their step one will involve? Perhaps I will elaborate on this when I get home.
Henry Diaz
Yes and you are correct. The idea isn't where you succeed. A lot of people get caught up in finding the perfect idea and never do anything. Here is a breakdown of what MJ calls the CENTS commandments. I think its right on the money.
Without talking specifics, what should I be looking when trying to make money from a third world country?
Let say that I have a near free travel access to a third world country with ridiculously low minimum wage. How do I profit from this? Do I sell to poor people? Do I hire them and import/export? Is their remote labor worth anything?
Levi Taylor
I'm considering the idea of starting my own business making and refurbishing pallets. I have a general idea of how much it would cost to start and how much profit I would need to sustain the business. I would be the only employee initially.
The biggest problem I'm having is that I can't seem to find out what other businesses in my area are charging and what their costs are. They don't list any prices on their site. I see estimates on other sites but they all vary. I might just have to make some calls and pretend to be a potential customer.
Right now I'm working in a warehouse that is paying to have their pallets recycled. The only pallets we send away to be recycled are in perfect condition. The other pallets that are only missing a board or two get thrown out.
If I can drive around, pick up some pallets, pressure wash them, and maybe replace a board or some nails, If I can just make a couple dollars profit on each it would be worth it. Maybe make some new pallets when customers order it. I don't know though, it's just something I've been thinking about for a few years. Any advice would be appreciated.
Jonathan Howard
Probably commercial initially so that I can charge more and be profitable despite really low production volumes.
Jack Perry
If that third world country is India you'll have to make the non poor half of the country your consumers. Find something that the whole country likes (for eg. Cricket) and do something with it
Ian Moore
Hey just to follow up on this... CDs are paying near 3% and there are a few banks offering 2.25% on savings accounts. Rates have been steadily going up and these banks pay you more when rates increase.
If you put $540k in those accounts at 2.25% that is $12,150.00 annually. Not bad for no risk. Also you want to make sure you spread out the money to separate banks so you get full fdic coverage on your funds. Don't just put all your cash in one bank.
