This is actually a pretty good suggestion. Join the navy or the air force. They pay really well and have better benefits than anything you will ever find in the private sector. And you're a good age to join.

Without getting too personal there are reasons why I can’t do military. I really don’t think I can handle it. And if I can’t do it I owe a ton of debt. Any other options? There has to be something

Yup they will whip him into shape and take any excuses away. I have many friends in this guys situation who refused military anyways due to lack of any form of care about their status/okay with being on edge of homelessness.
