Is there any reason prices won't go up at some point?

it's spain, OP. that's where mexicans came from. kek. between you and me, the wall just got 10 ft higher.

euro here, spain can be a nice country, though there is a strong presence of hippies and niggers (this is barcelona, and the other major cities/towns on the mediterranean shores)

also you probably wouldnt want to live in a 49k appartment, id immagine your neighbours would be niggers selling heroin/ketamin and their hippie customers

Well, it really depends what are your intentions. If you want to speculate with real state I wouldn't dare to advice, nevertheless if you are trying to decide where to live or where to buy a house for vacations I could help.

Im from Barcelona and belive me, real state is in a big bubble. People are taking 30/40 year mortages that won't be able to pay, just like 2008. Spain is one of the normiest countries, people know shit about finance and politicians are plain retard and corrupt. Avoind buying real state unting deep in the next financial crash.

south America has 10+ miss universe titles

you cant beat trump

miss universe

living anywhere else

gas yourself

You say financial crisis but Madrid is still expensive af for real estate, at least in the desirable parts.

what's the real price of real estate in Spain ?

also can any spainbros explain this: ive heard many times from my hippie friends that they just go in spain and occupy property of someone else and just live there, these properties are abbandoned, is there such a thing? bcs i hear about people just going there and living without paying rent

Yes it exists. And the retard goverment don't give a shit. It takes months/years to get rid of them and when finally they're out your property has already been destroyed.

We call them okupas (okuppiers)

As a property owner - the entire idea makes me beyond angry even if I don't have this problem.

The mafia seriously needs to start eviction services if the government is ignoring like it's only job (enforce private property). How fucking retarded.

Oy vey, this is another shoah!

There are several companies who were founded by some far right activists that proceed to legally re-ocuppy the house to kick the okupas out

Not far right. Just people that respect property ownership.

The thing is that this "okuppiers" will enter the house, and call the police before you do, to let them know they have occupied it. (Because as the owner you could see your house has been occupied, call the police and tell them there's a robber in your house or some made up shit, but if police knows it's been specifically occupied, they know it's illegal for them to try to help you as the owner or enter the house, it's fucking crazy).
If you entered your occupied house with a gun and hurt/kill one of them, you would 99% go to jail and they would stay in there. They usually leave after a couple months/years and they leave the house looking like the most hideous favela house you could think of. They do it in abandoned houses mostly (houses claimed by banks after the housing crisis that haven't been sold/rented yet) but they could occupy any house they wanted to.
It's one of Spain's law biggest flaws

You lose your house, if you tried to enter it, the okkupiers would call the police and tell them you are breaking in their house, it's illegal for you or the police to proceed to an okkupied house.
It takes years and lots of money to get through all the paperwork to get them out of there, because Spain's administration is also shit

Spain has a fairly high unemployment rate for young people.. these people can't buy houses, which make the demand dwindle.

Furthermore, Spains political system is messed up, they haven't had a stable government in almost a decade. They are unable to pass any reforms, like making it easier for companies to fire their employees, which would make it "that" much less of an investment for companies to hire young people.

The whole Catalonian thing is messed up also, and i don't think it will just go away.. most likely nothing will happen, but there is a constant threat of escalation.

If you want to own real-estate in a foregin country for financial reasons, i would recommend larger cities in eastern Europe.

what about Italy and their uno euro scheme?
You buy property in old Italian cities for 1 euro and spend 25k USD on it to refurbish and live in.
I tried to do it but the major of that town didn't get back to me.

Spain is a good place to live at if you speak Spanish. If not you'll get fucked.

I lived in Valencia for 5 years.
Rent - 700 eur/month
Food - 500 eur/month
Gym - 20 eur/month
+500-600 eur other expenses

A good apartment costs around 150-200k eur
Forget the 40-50k gypsy shit

Eventually I returned to my home country as I became lazy and bored as most of those spanyards.

Spanish chicks are memes. Latinas are the key.

spain is britain's florida. all the non-lethal parts of spain are expensive as all hell, you'll die or want to die in any reasonably-priced area.

Think this is over :(
