Miner thread!

Post your miners in this thread.

I use this baby for my sky

pretty slick, those raspberry pi compute modules?

Pine64 clusterboard?

Synth hit the jackpot when he saw those premade babies

He can 3d print a case for them and charge 20000%+ in markup

Go ahead and elaborate on this thought.

this is pretty sick, what miner is that?

some dude approached me 2014 asking to split an antminer and I said no, how sublime

if you want to track cryptos on here btw > merv.tech

either way, this is pretty cool, how many Watts does this thing suck?

Wow really cool user! How does the sky consensus algo work again?

user, it doesnt

Looks like it sucks 75 watts. pretty cheap to run.

I found a tutorial for setting this up.

Consensus algo is not deployed on mainnet right now but it's not a PoW consensus algo and it only will need one node to run on so you're looking at less than 100 kWh/year.

>Consensus algo is not deployed on mainnet right now but it's not a PoW consensus algo
Wow that sounds cool. How does it work? Where is the technical whitepaper?

what are you mining on this bad boy?

you run your miner and then synth sends out some coins according to how he is feeling each month e.g. how much coke he had the night before etc

so if there is no consensus algo then I should be able to print infinite skycoins, so why isnt that happening

This.

Permissioned shitcoin with no consensus. Doesn't get more scammy then that.

The single copy of the ledger comes from his server every time you open the wallet.

Stop shilling Skycoin. Enough people have been burned on this already

The consensus algo will use 3 different types of nodes to reach consensus. This separates the tasks of publishing, verification, and analysis to balance out responsibility more efficiently. Each node publishes its own blockchain to record it's behavior for auditing, and each node chooses who to to subscribe with. This balances the influence of nodes over the network. There is currently no up-to-date technical whitepaper detailing this system, and it will be kept under wraps until after deployment.
Mining is when you run a machine and get paid for it. On testnet Skyminers are being paid in Skycoin but this is temporary. A Skyminer will earn coinhours, not Skycoin, on mainnet.
Skycoins can't be printed ever. All 100 million of them were created in 2015 with the genesis block. The blockchain is currently distributed, meaning that each wallet node stores its own copy of the blockchain, and every time you open the wallet, only new blocks are added to your blockchain. Right now there are 66416 blocks. It would take way too long to open your wallet if you had to download the whole thing all over each time.
Only people that got burned burned themselves by buying high and selling low. Price is low now so you're going to want to wait a bit before you can buy high like the degenerate you are.

how long is testnet going to run for? Getting skycoin itself seems better than whatever their "gas" is

It's gone on for almost 5 months now. Probably another 1-3 months i guess. I think that mainnet rewards will come out to be less than testnet rewards initially. At least on Mainnet you will be able to run however many Skywire nodes you want. There will also be a coinhour bank where you can deposit coinhours, and get them exchanged for Skycoin. The rate at which you can exchange coinhours for Skycoin should depend on how many everyone is willing to exchange at a given time.

Someone in world of warcraft tried to get me to buy into bitcoin when it was at 200 dollars and I didn't listen.

Looks like you built your frame the same way I did . I should modify mine for some of those extra fans. Do they draw much more power ?

Ultra kek

Why do I never see vega 56s? Mine mine fairly well.

That’s not a miner, faggot

>Why do I never see vega 56s?
The prices are too damn high. Right now I can get 2 580's for the price of one Vega 56.

CLEAN YOUR RIG

Scam sky
there is no mining

there isnt even an algo for 'mining' with bandwidth, he just hands out coins randomly

>if you want to track cryptos on here btw > merv.tech
useful...

Nah, they're actually having some custom made. Like 8 CPUs all on one board, sharing resources. Brings the cost way down.

Masternode is in place until Obelisk is released. The more you read the less you cry.

how did you get your rig to stick to the walls like that. your bed too for that matter

>cases of diet snapple

He should have known before he even started.

Hmm, you seem to be confused. Testnet rewards are drawn from a pool, given to operators providing equipment.

You wouldn't use an algorithm for metering bandwidth. You'd just maintain a ledger of what nodes bandwidth was bought/sold to.

This faggot is in every single SKY thread
Obviously paid to be here, pathetic

Yikes, you seem paranoid. Or you must really like sky too. Want to be friends?

Anyone else get laid via their miner? Every girl that visits out of friend groups asks about it and I start talking to them about investing and crypto.
