>Is it worth it?
no
it mostly depends on your cost for electricity, so for most people, no it's not worth it.
No. The hardware becomes unprofitable before it has paid for itself.
I traded 1.5 BTC for 10 Asic Scrypt Miners, power supplies, and a set up at the peak of December.
Worst mistake I have made thus far in my life. Entirely not profitable and I can't even run them in my garage because of how fucking noisy and hot they get. I wish I could go back and hold through the crash instead.
Jesus christ, just use your brain. If these things paid for themselves and the power they consumed why would anybody sell them? Get a decent GPU if you're also planning to use it to game and then mine shitcoins when idle and hope they moon.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
HUH??? WHATS THAT I CANT HEAR YOU THESE ASICS ARE FUCKING LOUD
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Go here, but look elsewhere to purchase hardware.

Winter is coming, just open the door and overclock them for sick gains when the weather drops to -20.
Mining is zero sum game. The more miners there are the less rewards for every body.
Don’t listen to these oldfags saying mining is not worth it
maybe if you have very cheap or "free" power
I used to run a professional mining operation. It's not worth it unless you have power that costs $0.03 USD per kWh or less. If you can get free power then maybe run a couple small machines, but that's it.
To make a quick buck as opposed to just waiting on their ROI.
TL;DR: Quick moneyz
what do you want to mine?
genius iq level user here... nvm i wont tell you.

pretty much my situation, I am exploiting 9 hours a night free electricity that my utility gives me. mining ETH at ~1Gh/s, haven't expanded operation since january basically with the market crash
ding ding winrar
It is you just need the ones made on the newer process.

Bitmain is going to be releasing their 7nm asics in the near future so buying now would be buying obsolete tech.
Why hold for the long term? Or get out of gambling all together?
I could say the same thing, I bought 8 rx580s near the end of December and it turned out pretty good. Already made my money back (power is 1k@10c) and can sell the cards at any time for $150. Just don't buy asics unless you are in the first batch. You can't resell them to normies and the difficulty spikes as soon as the first batch gets sent out.
KEK!! why would yall not just water cool and put the noisy shit in an insulated box in a closet or something?
Not using geothermal anyway
Anons just need /diy solar panels from sells and build wind turbines out of trash / recycled shit.
Any ideas for a blade? I've got a hefty build in the works with a ford ranger front end and.
Willing to consider about anythibg cheap. Pretty broke until springtime but got tons of wind up here.
