I have a tested IQ of 135. I'm pretty wealthy (600k net worth at 24 yo), but I think IQ is almost irrelevant beyond a certain point. The difference between an IQ of 90 and 120 is huge, but I don't think there's that big of a difference between 120 and 140. If you're somewhat high IQ things like being hard working, having good social skills, being a good talker etc. matter a lot more than a few extra IQ points.

My anecdotal observation is that it's much easier to accept the world and maneuver inside the framework of society with lower IQ
Intelligent people go in 1 of these directions: they just outright hate the world and disregard everything; they find something they love and do it to the detriment of every other dimension of their life; they pick something in the world and shift it/redefine it for others.
The interesting thing is that you don't necessarily need to be intelligent to do any of these things. After all, high intelligence is just the ability to make connections rapidly and logically. A "monkey" may make the "right" connections while an intelligent mind is busy designing a conspiracy theory of untangling the latest episode of some anime or TV series.
A highly intelligent mind that hasn't been taken care of might come to the conclusion, for example, that authority and power are bad things rather than find the path to authority and power. Check the story of Christopher Langan.
Overall, I think It's better to be smart than intelligent if you want to be rich and you shouldn't waste too much time on useless chatter.
The latter is much easier though - probably that's why we're busy checking Jow Forums.
