Imagine holding BTC. For you to get a 3x BTC has to go to 19k. ATH again. A high that was only reached in an absolute normie frenzy of uninformed market buys. Not impossible, but highly unlikely given the complete lack of current hype and lack of amazing "look, BTC can scale and it works!" news.
For LINK to go 3x it needs to go to $1.50 which is not only basically guaranteed but would actually be a fairly disappointing outcome in 6 months time. Why hold BTC?
