Hardfork on nov. 15, no replay protection, incoming hash war for the one true bitcoin. All out war of hashpower and cash.

Jihan/bitmain (ABC nodes)
VS
CSW/nchain (Satoshi Vision nodes)

Potential ripples through btc hash power and value too.

don't say gay shit like that. explain what you mean and why its more

My portfolio is 1/3 bch and 2/3 eth am idiot for putting it all in bch to ride this nice fuckin wave?

Pretty much. It's never been more uncertain.

Either bitcoin shows that it is truly resilient to development teams and companies trying to take over it and change it, through the power of miners and nakamoto consensus... or it will show everyone that the project has failed, decentralization is not really possible.

This is the first real test of crypto, first real life test of nakamoto consensus. Either the experiment fails and dies forever, or it will show resilient and there will be a rebirth of bitcoin. Either way it will be war, a lot of value will be destroyed and shifted around.

i agree with this

A lot of value will be created, as well.

more like forever

Personally I would advise against that. This is not a fork with replay protection, its a real hashwar. Exchanges may stop trading and withdrawals during the war, price may collapse. Lots of uncertainty.
(But still, there is no limit to human stupidy so the price might keep going up, like it did in btc even after the fork...)

PoW is dead. Onto the next

Nothing. 3 days ago was a great entry point.. I said to myself I will sleep on it, woke up and the gooks had it pumped 10$ already.

0.085 to 0.089 is major resistance... no point in getting in right now...

>no point in getting in right now...
kys tomorrow

Have cash ready and buy the motherfucking dip on BOTH forks, easily 20x your bcash stack, whoever wins

crypto vs fiat

Except it's literally dumping right now.

>they're still falling for the bch pumps even though it ALWAYS dumps even more

2000 gold ounces q1 2020

Yes possibly enormous volatility. People are generally unaware of how significant the next couple weeks will be for the future of bitcoin

For the future of humanity

babies are dying faggot, not a joke

its... ITS DUMPING AHA BCASHIES BTFO

Is it though?

Trades crypto... can't even read a chart to save his life.

>I buy on memes and gut feelings
>I'm also down 99% since bear trend

it pumped $15 in like 2 hrs

For the future of bcash, you brand stealing sockpuppet

Nah I meant what I said. Read the game theory thread on here if it’s at all confusing. The ripple effects of this extend well beyond bch

bch keeps pumping

Oh boy, the retards that are buying right now...

>my life

BTC CASH IS BTC. Whats so fucking complicated, I dont understand. BTC cash will be the btc at a million, not BTC.

This is probably going to pump like xrp did a month ago. Thought maybe the build up would be slower because of timing on the fork, but whoever is running the show here wants it to go sooner rather than later

Come one come all, there won't be any congestion. 5 tx/s or 50 tx/s, no matter, there's plenty of room for all and low fees for everyone.

Attached: B for Cash.jpg (3840x2160, 957K)

its up $50 in the past hour

btw I wonder if this is Craig pouring a couple of millions into BCH. If so expect it to keep going up for several days.

Attached: Bitcoin Wars The Fork Awakens (A New Hope).jpg (1860x3984, 781K)

He's probably wasting more pre-IPO investor money to try and pump it for the IPO. He needs it well over $900 USD.

Attached: 1503248233391.jpg (500x500, 63K)

It’s probably jihan because of the ipo and how heavily the valuation of bitmain is tied to bch

reminder that bitcoins' innovation was using economic incentives to create an immutable ledger.
the existence of an immutable ledger is unprecedented in human history and allows the equally unprecedented non debaseable currency. The adoption of non debaseable currency can invert the power arrangement of the world from those that deceive to those that create. There has never been as optimistic an opportunity to create societies that serve the individual instead of societies that are systems of wealth extraction at the expense of the individual.

Without on chain adoption bitcoin cannot be considered secure as mining will eventually need to be incentivized by fees as the block reward declines.
The btc devs literally limited adoption to 1mb of transactions per 10min (about 7tps) and then created transaction capacity off chain with lightning and liquid.
This limit is entirely arbitrary contrary to what the media tells you.
This leaves btc as a ponzi scheme as without on chain adoption there is no security, again off chain adoption does not incentivize security.

Bitcoin cash is a split in response to the above and is the economic system detailed in the bitcoin whitepaper

Both approaches have risks, having everything on chain results in considerable centralization and risks making it easy for governments to censor it.

In a market crash, cash is KING. Econ 101, seriously.

Maybe but I dunno, Craig seems pretty determined after bitcoin.com's announcement. Regardless it's nice to see, a lot of people just care about the price so it'll bring some folks over. Hodlers aren't very bright but they are useful.

I'm here to witness the stupidity...

might be even more enjoyful than %gains

Baste and pullpilled.

VV

bitcoin is censorship-resistant not uncensorable. regardless one single government won't be able to crack down on mining operations overseas, and craig wright also intend to make sure BCH stays completely legal

>about 7tps
this is theoretical, the realistic limit is closer to 5 transactions per second on BTC

BCH:
+ Approximately 100 transactions / sec
+ Non-reversible transactions allow for instant acceptance by merchants (0 conf)
+ Difficulty is adjusted every block
+ Scales on-chain
+ Always includes all tx input scripts in the blockchain
+ Most of the people that made Bitcoin what it is today now support Bitcoin Cash
+ Big exchanges added support for BCH almost immediately
+ Have larger scripting capabilitiess
+ Works as described in the original Bitcoin whitepaper

BTC:
+ Approximately 5 transactions / sec
+ Transactions can be replaced to return your payment back to yourself
+ Difficulty is adjusted every 2016 blocks, adding risk of complete freeze if miners leave
+ Tries to scale off-chain but nobody knows how routing will work (Lightning Network), will eventually need a backbone of hubs
+ Removes tx input scripts from the blockchain on non-SegWit nodes, relocates them on SegWit nodes
+ Controlled by Blockstream, denies code that don't align with the company vision
+ Got to keep the original ticker symbol
+ Several opcodes are still disabled in scripting
+ Not meant to be used as cash, claims to be a store of value

Attached: cryptophantom.png (480x700, 628K)

Friendly reminder that you don't need to be a miner to successfully double spend on a minority chain that is under attack.

If ABC is a minority chain with less than 1/3 the total bch hash, expect any exchange running it to lose money.

But Craig wants to kill bch

BCH IS KING

BOW THA FUCK DOWN

Craig bad! Tweet nasty feelings! Evil man!

youtube.com/watch?v=B6Y_PrAUPwA

Attached: pixel.gif (303x304, 71K)

People seem to think this is about Craig Wright vs Jihan Wu & ABC.
It's all about Calvin Ayre who is the brain, muscle and money behind Coingeek, SV and NChain.

>Calvin Ayre is going to make BCH the nr 1 digital currency of the world.
All online casino transaction will be done on the BCH blockchain.
128MB blocks is just the beginning.

don't daytrade on coinbase user

All the cashies are accumulating before the fork. No actual real people are buying.

Thats cuz LTC is whale accumulation bear coin dumby
Learn how to Bart down. Break pump/boost.

To be frank with you I always always in the front row shouting bcash bcash along with the mob but for the first time I'm saying I may have been wrong about Blockstream. I don't know what the lizards are planning but everything leads up on where we are now shows that the last thing they have on their mind is to help build a decentralized coin anyone could use without having toask a 3rd party to use it.

>not 2/3 bch and 1/3 etc

>having everything on chain results in considerable centralization and risks making it easy for governments to censor it.
The centralization is usually exaggerated, though it is correct to say that to store the full chain (assuming mass adoption/use) it would almost be impossible for the average individual. However, for one to run a validating node, they need only keep the UTXO set which is comparably tiny.

its hilarious how they are trying to turn the bitcoin standard from that faggot into a bibble of the small block cucks

The "centralization argument" is bullshit plain and simple. If you bought it, congratulations you are a bona fide NPC who failed to understand the white paper, assuming you even tried to read it at all.

>The "centralization argument" is bullshit plain and simple
I'm a high iq brainlet. Could you please explain why it's bullshit?

It is based on the false premise that there is some objective metric called "centralization" that must be maximized at the expense of all other performance domains (tx throughput, fungibility, etc.)
The reality is there are many different kinds of centralization to consider and these must be balanced against other performance domains. Where this balance exists is open to debate, but it is clearly not where BTC is right now. Ideally the balance should be struck via ruthless competition among miners, not some wizard council of coders who think they can centrally plan bitcoin.

Fucking phone posting. Meant to say minimized not maximized.

>The "centralization argument" is bullshit plain and simple. If you bought it, congratulations you are a bona fide NPC who failed to understand the white paper, assuming you even tried to read it at all.
People are completely clueless about how extreme the requirements are for full 32mb or 128mb blocks. It may be possible to dramatically improve the software but in the current state it's in you would be looking at a twin cpu server with 512gb of ram and a fuckton of SSDs as a minimum. If anyone tried to use BCH 32mb blocks now you would find most miners will just refuse to mine anything bigger than 4mb or 8mb. The RAM and SSD requirements are beyond what you get on AWS or azure cloud services.

It's pretty likely the BTC whitepaper is filled with numerous incorrect assumptions. Satoshi was good at cryptography but only an average programmer. Much of the stuff regarding PoW contradicts itself, at first he said 1 cpu = 1 vote but later on he didn't seem to be opposed to specialized hardware which resulted in 1 autistic chinese fraudster with ASICs = 5,000,000 votes one CPU = 0.00000001 votes.

So far BCH hasn't had to deliver on any of it's scaling claims as the blocks are always empty aside from the one time they briefly spammed it. It's easy to make these claims when no one can test them.

Was I right to read this in the voice of an old Thai woman
