Going through a couple years of suffering doing the biggest payments possible seems like the better way to do it, of course you need a good enough income to do so, but that's why you went to university isn't it.

they don't have the sense in their heads to understand the serious consequences of their actions when they sign on the dotted line. when most high school graduates enroll in a college, they're quite literally still children in the psychological, mental, and emotional sense. they need someone to tell them how it is and set them straight. unfortunately, no one seems to care enough to tell these kids that what they're doing is ruining their futures by becoming debt slaves.

Student debt should be restructured so non research institutions only receeive dough proportional to their graduates earnings thus incentivizing them to train students in actual skills. Example: John signs an agreement that his university garnishes X% of his wage up to X amount of dollars for the next 5-10 years. This would pretty trim all those usesless madeup degrees that schools have inorder to profit off the ill-informed and put a lot more emphasis on learning Excel. Research university can keep the current system as they have a different goal.

You know, it would almost help if students were required to wait a year and work or something before entering into university, having the opportunity to grow up a little bit and build some savings would make for a more informed decision and make life a bit easier later on. It would also provide a large, renewable workforce for more menial or entry level jobs and give graduates with less debt more spending power. The only difficulty of course being that the Jews lose an element of control over the population

Idk what the person in that posts' student loan amount is, but if its less than 50k, they really shouldn't be worried...unless they got a job in not STEM and maybe (huge fucking maybe) business/accounting.

If you have a job in STEM with student loans, you're fine. Business and accounting...maybe fine...anything else and you better have less than 20k in loans. If you are able to live with family and pay your loans down/save money, even better. If you can find a job that pays 45k, and are able to live with family rent free for at least a year or two, you can easily chop those loans down to manageable amount.

Besides the student loan problem, another problem is that a lot of people don't prioritize paying down loans even if they could. The extended plan might look nice cause of the lower payment, but who wants to be 35 still paying off loans from college? You're better off living frugally for 5-7 years and being debt free than paying minimums for a long time, at least i think.

Oh yeah, and a lot of graduates fall into the trap of keeping up with the jones. And even worse, fall for the graduate school joke, which is terrible unless you somehow get it paid for.
